Which Berserk are you talking about? The anime or the Manga?

Because while the Manga's better overall, it really starts to suck hard near the end. The anime on the other hand, is great all the way through, even though it excludes some things.

I would watch it, but anime today is like cheap, plastic crap. Sure it's good if you're an overweight shut-in who blushes and giggles every time he sees a girl make a funny expression but not me.

Ever tried Hellsing?

Tragically unfinished due to the entire team dying in a car crash but what there is of that anime is great (IMO).

Let's see, do you like MINDLESS ACTION AND DEATH? Then how about Fist of the North Star? Would you like to watch a show that could be summed up as a "Supernatural crime drama"? Then how about Death Note? Would you enjoy a relatively pointless comedy about japanese highschool girls? Then Azumanga Daioh is for you!

Guess I'm the odd one out in having liked it then. Ah, well.

Another series I really loved was Haibane Renmei, but it's probably not anything close to what you might like. I've also heard good things about Higurashi no Naku Koro ni from my husband, he says it's kind of like a harem anime/psychological Call of Cthulhu-type horror blend. (Just throwing random suggestions out there for anybody who might be interested, you're under no obligation to check them out if you don't feel like it, Rashilul.)
