I was speaking of legality not quality, or moralistically.

I prefer fansubs myself too.

That is a bit too general and blanket for me to believe.

They're never removed it because nobody reports them, and by the way they do own the contents THEY PRODUCED. I've never said anything about Funimation.

Can we stop arguing about the legality of fansubed anime... It just seems like you don't get it, and it's off topic to the discussion.

im would like to see where your getting this information, because i doubt a company buys a japanese anime, now owns it and controls everything about it, and out of every fansub/fandub/other language dubs out there only english fansubs are targetted....

One problem is sometimes you have little choice unless you know Japanese.

One of my favorite animes is Full Moon Wo Sagashite and the official dub of it only goes to episode 27 (and costs a small fortune) out of all 52 episodes. It also features bad Voice acting in two ways
1) Some of the voice actors are bad at voice acting
2) They chose the worst people to voice act certain characters. A lot of the wacky characters get freekishly normal voices in the official dub
-They also should have changed Wakaogi-Sensai's name... it just sounds soo weird in the English dub... Sensai or Doctor would have been a bit better

Not only are the fandubs a bit better but they have done all the episodes for a long time.

Really it is like a stupid lockout... A company buys a license and doesn't release the product... So boom there is nothing you can do.

What's that about?

Well it is Anime meaning it relies on Several Archetypes!

Anyhow here is a major difference generally between American and Japanese animation fights

In American Anime the Hero often wins their important battles through desperation, lastability, intelligence, and luck
In Japanese Anime the Hero often wins by overpowering their opponent usually after the above doesn't work or even if the above works.

Does anyone here dislike the "I am more powerful then you" Hero victory Scenario? Some of the best battles I've seen was when the Hero was incredably outclassed.

For example the new Heman show's First Season's Finale was amazing (The second not that much... then again they were dealing with a lot)... The Justice League Vs. MasterLex Luthor wasn't.

A dead boy, that still able to be 'alive' because of the Life power some girl given to him, and an artifact of Refreshment (refresh his Life on midnight, if he's not dead already)

A demon-killer fire-using (OH YEAH) girl.

Yeah, something like that.

Common sense.

I don't see where the fuck you coming from with these arguments you put out.

One company doesn't buy out all the anime and attempts to sue every single person who fansubs.

It's the companies which produce and distribute the anime.

These companies own the content they produce, and/or distribute.

Fansubbers replicate said contents, attach a translation, and distribute the items for free.

Therefore the companies who made it have the legal right to take action against fansubbers, logically making fansubs illegal. Most companies however don't do this because 1. They will earn the majority of their money in Japan. 2. Most people in Japan don't use fansubs to watch anime. 3. It is a painful and nearly impossible to remove the fansubs, so most don't even try.

THIS IS ABOUT LEGALITY, NOT MORALS, OR WHETHER OR NOT IT'S FAIR. (I have to make my point on this.)

This is because Armok requested free legal anime.

I wonder

Why don't Fandubbers if they want to be entirely moral about it just make the captions seperate from the anime and create a program that combines them?

(Ehh nevermind too much work)

That's the main problem.

It pretty much is only easy with visual novels.

actualy, the reason I wanted it legal wasnt because I'm lawfull or anything like that, but because I get really anoyed if I start waching a series and thendiscover it's been removed or is incomplete. if there is no risk for this as long as it dosnt hurt anyone it's OK. (companies dont count as anyone)
