Only virgins can be made into vampires, that's correct, but I think the only difference to an already-vampire is that it tastes better.

Or put another way, it could if we knew it had any effects to strengthen.

It could have other effects as well, but we've seen even less evidence for that than for normal blood.

Instead end the movie after the girl has outlived her usefulness in all the plots between the Security Division and the Panzer Cops, and have the main protagonist kill her after either falling in love with her over the course of the movie, or faking it in the name of going along with the Panzer Cops' plot.

So end the movie once one of the two main characters is dead.

Happy ending.

Well Fairytale continues its odd trend of kind of wiping out interesting stories.

Though the anime seems to have a particular punching bag... They just want that guy to have the most miserable story possible (and because he isn't a member of Fairytale... it means he can never be relevant)

Ohh well the upward spiral of the show continues anyhow in spite of this.

... is the anime better than the light novels? Because the LNs were... basically trash. Some of the clumsiest written cookie-cutter harem-antic drivel I've seen in a while, and I say that as someone that was half-heartedly defending harem-antic drivel not too far back. It was... bad, by and large.

Not particularly defending that show. It was just more fun than the other ones mentioned. If someone is watching and enjoying Hagure Yuusha no Estetica, they probably also want to be watching Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou

Real talk. Danmachi episode 8 was the best episode since the show's start.

Yes, we know what's going to happen in this show from the start. Bell's gonna get Cool Powers by accidentally blanking magic books and having Hestia in debt forever and flat-out cheating because he's special (growth skill and Argonaut). He's gonna use his pay-to-win skills to beat cool bosses and make everyone fall in love with him, even the dudes. It is lowest common denominator power fantasy pandering at its finest.

But that is exactly what I'm here for. I've read so many stories and watched so many shows with weak, ineffectual, and indecisive protagonists that it's good to see an animu protagonist who knows what we wants (Aiz), slays Minotaurs and Ogres in badass fight scenes, and says all the right things to his pretend catgirl waifu. It's not just fantasy the genre, it is fantasy the literary tool. In eight episodes he goes from complete wimp to complete badass.

This was the entire appeal of Kaze no Stigma. I mean, is there any reason to watch that show other than the MC? He's completely overpowered, sees right through his waifu's aggravating, Tsundere antics, and beats his legendadly dad in a wizard duel while smugly smiling the entire time. Fuck yes, Drizz't-tier curbstomps without the needless angst. The setting was dull, and the other characters were boring cut-outs, but they made the main character start at the power level of your average final boss, and that made the show watchable.

Danmachi is a little different, but it's basically the same idea: "for once, the protag gets everything they want." Stories like this are dumb fun, but only once in a while. They're blatant wish fulfillment to break up the vast sea of ordinary action/fantasy stories where the protag gets slapped for peeking on his tsun-tsun waifu in the hot springs and has to power up to level 5 in battle while his friends narrate his every goddamn move to save the studio from animating long fight scenes.

Does anyone know if season 17 of the Bleach anime is ever gonna come out? I'm starting to wonder if I should give up and just read the manga. I'd reaaaaally prefer watching the anime, though.

There have been several assertions that Bleach will be re-upped once Tite finishes the Manga.  I have never seen these substantiated anywhere, but considering Inuyasha got it's final season, anything is possible.
