So, my school runs a anime club. This month we are going to watch Neon Genesis Evangelion, is it any good? Can you guys also give me some suggestions for any anime we could watch after this?

Now we just need Centaur no Nayami the anime. Centaur schoolgirl mangas just don't get picked up for adaptation very often.

I really doubt it mainly because its choke full of political commentary and really weird side stories.

I bet it's the dragon balls. Frieza also probably wished for something like "maximum power". And then trained a little.

But it's pretty good that we're returning to the most unexplained race of DBZ. Maybe we'll learn how the hell species who can casually bust planets have even appeared in the world.

That's sort of dodging the point, though, isn't it? There's a difference between being able to get away with it and it being a good idea. Especially if Gamedragon is American, in which case it's a perfect recipe for some parent throwing a shitstorm and causing trouble for them. Pre-emptive edit: Oh, and I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that even Britain is more lax about sexual content when it comes to ratings. End of Evangelion isn't rated, but the masturbation scene alone might well get it rated 18+ because of how prudish our censor boards are.

That said, if you really want to show it for the club, do it off-grounds, same as with anything else that might get shot down. Alternatively, talk to the teacher supervising the club and be honest instead of just going "Oh, it's PG-13". That's a less awkward setting than a classroom anyways.

I mean yeah, the teacher should check it in advance, but NGE is both  good and huge influential in shaping modern anime.  It would be a good thing to show if you can (and you can leave off EoE if you want, I don't think anything in the TV show is that bad really).

Depends what you mean by "that bad."  There's sort of a lot of dismemberment, attempted suicide, mind rape, body horror, and general trauma in the later parts.  Still worth watching, but I'd recommend doing it somewhere other than school.  Especially for the dub.

I'm really not sure what to watch at this point, but I'll take a look at any suggestions I'm given.

Depends what you mean by "that bad."  There's sort of a lot of dismemberment, attempted suicide, mind rape, body horror, and general trauma in the later parts.  Still worth watching, but I'd recommend doing it somewhere other than school.  Especially for the dub.

I'm not worried about them, I'm worried about the school.  I'm not there so I don't know how much oversight there is, but I'd certainly not want to have to explain to some administrator who wanders in.

Depends on what you like in anime, and what you've already seen, but you said recommend whatever.

Attack on Titan
Chaika the Coffin Princess
Yuki Yuna is a Hero
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt

I could recommend other stuff, like "slice of life featuring cute girls doing whatever as a plot" shows or rom-coms, buuuuuut that's more of a niche. Also P&SwG is not so much anime as it is "japan does its take on western animation" but the animation is sick and the plot is crazy in a good way. Also kinda inappropriate in an immature sort of way.

I'm no real anime savant[I can count the number of animes I've watched on one hand, presuming that hand belongs to Count Rugan], but I LOVED Death Note and liked Fullmetal Alchemist[Brotherhood, in case that matters.]. Attack on Titan was excellent, even if I wanted to strangle the main character every time he opened his mouth.
