I've seen the anime up to that scene, it's in episode 4. Unfortunately they don't manage to maintain that level of derp for more than a moment.

btw JoshuaH, I do really recommend sticking with Dennou Coil, it has pretty much unanimous good reviews for a reason. The reviewers (and I) all note it is a bit rocky near the start, as you have also noted, but it picks up immensely as the series progresses.

Man, if they hadn't fumbled the character development in the show so badly already (and the budget), this episode of build fighters' fight would have been on a season 1 tier level. Still one of the best fights of the season, loved how unashamedly Super Robot and Obari the whole fight was. Tryon-3 for best Gundamu.

Also shame on you for trying to interrupt the combining sequence. Try Fighters confirmed villains

Another Try Fighters episode

and thank goodness it was actually a pretty good fight that wasn't a straight up power battle.

I mean it is still another "Goodness, I just realized I want anyone to win except our heroes" situation (because once again... everyone works really hard except for them, are more skilled, and are better overall builders... not to mention our heroes are usually more boring than their opponents)... but at least I didn't see our heroes pull out a sudden unexpected super power to win.

That and I actually LOVE the Tryon, has a great musical theme, has a lot of style, and was actually really fun to watch it fight.

Though at a certain point I was like "NOO! your doing too well Tryon 3! If you do too well then the heroes will pull out BS! you need to just barely be better then them"

As well the rival actually, through acting, made me care about this episode. Mostly because this episode was about him and not our heroes (our heroes who are very boring characters) which is always good.

In conclusion FINALLY!!! a good episode in like FOREVER!

Yeah, I watched that as separate episodes, it was originally videos to go with each song, rather than edited together like that. It's awesome either way though.

Maaan, forgot how great the There She Is!! series is. Really well done for a series of flash animations. Step 4 is packed with emotion and power despite there being any dialogue aside from the background music. Really well done.

Draw With Me is another good short animation.
