You know...
I think my favorite filler for really long series are ones that characterize and expand upon characters that will never really get much screen time.
Also... Fairtale has probably the worst plot twist, that it doesn't know is a plot twist, I ever seen in it.
You apparently can learn any magic you want, and it doesn't interfere with your current magic. Seriously what the heck show? I can understand everyone having an inherent form of magic that the learn almost innately and the rest they have to learn... But that is something you REALLY should have brought up earlier.
You just made every villain who had the ability to learn more then one form of magic... much worse in retrospect because everyone can.
Heck earlier episodes hinted that it MIGHT be possible to learn more than one but that learning one form of magic makes learning another pretty much impossible because you are conditioned for it. Grey for example had to adjust his body to basically be a vessel for Ice-make magic, he would be unable to use another magic-make at least competently
I don't want to be negative about a show I used to really like >_<, there is a lot I could forgive and just go "Ok, that was weird... lets move on"... But it is like it has been infected by the Dumb Shonen virus. I swear if Lucy becomes a Popstar I am going to run for the hills.
Also no, I have no idea why I still watch it other than... I watch it at the same time as Future Card Buddyfight, which is mediocre but has no "DUMB!" moments. (certainly had an anticlimax though. Seriously everyone know who Purgatory knight was, couldn't you have thrown a real twist?)
Ohh I know why I still watch it! It is easy to watch latest episodes and there is only one a week. If I had a large bunch of continuous weekly series I guess I'd be watching all of them. Heck I'd be watching Vanguard (The Kings of "We are dropping plotpoints... Live with it" but who are unique and do plot twists other shows would never do) if there wasn't a billion episodes between me and where it currently is.

Ok I CAN say something good about that episode.
It was kind of funny... near the end.
