Just want to note that Hero Union BBS* is... pretty nice. Manga, slice of life, revolving around a, well. Hero bulletin board system. What's in english is relatively short, but it's enough to taste and enjoy. Would recommend based on what I've read so far.

Quick question, I've been watching through the original Dragonball series, since I had seen all of Z but none of the former.

Unfortunately, I have no idea when in the timeline I should be watching the Dragonball movies. I'm currently in episode...60ish, during the Red Ribbon Army thing.

Could anyone enlighten me on this?

You've already gone passed the first one. It's between the 43rd and 44th episodes. That one's just kind of an alternate take on the first Saga though, anyway.

Look at the top. You should be able to find them yoursself.

Honestly though, it doesn't really matter. The old Dragon Ball movies weren't exactly the best and as far as I know they're pretty much non-cannon anyway.

Some even couldn't have possibly been canon or have had such tight requirements to be canon that they sort of become ridiculous because of it.

If I remember currectly the first appearance of Broli could have only occurred during Cell's 10 day training period.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the one. I think Cooler's first appearance is plausible though, because I think it takes place during the wait for the Androids to show up.

Speaking of DBZ and the Cell Saga though... If there's one thing that always pissed me off, it's how freaking awesome Gohan reaching SSJ2, and what a momentous achievement in-story it was, only for it to be kinda made... Redundant in the Buu saga. Where Goku and Vegeta are like 'Oh yeah we can bee SSJ2 now as well 'powers up.' (and Goku being able to go SSJ3 was so fucking pointless.)
I mean, the transformation sequence is like two minutes long and he... Doesn't do anything but stall for time.

I consider the end of the Cell games where the series *really* ended.
Oh, and the bad guys with the regen powers! Always with the f*cking regen powers.

UXLZ, have you seen the DBZ : Battle of Gods movie? It's a fairly good recent movie. Probably takes place later than the Cell series (I'm unfamiliar with DBZ timelines and canon, don't kill me, one of my roommates is obsessed with the series though) but anyway it's good. Great final fight scene.

But it takes place specifically AFTER the Buu Saga but before the very last episode.

Non canon: GT, most of the movies

Ultra Pure canon: stuff in the manga and nothing else
