Original Catbus is from the 1980's Ghibli movie My Neighbor Totoro. Highly recommended. It's one of those "kids" movies that's actually still awesome as an adult. Something Disney can't pull off but Miyazaki can.

One of those 2-minute per episode animes called Teekyuu (this was episode 15 i think). It's about a tennis club in theory, the running gag being how little they actually play tennis (insane random shit basically). I have trouble following the subs, they speak so fast it's just like watching Tatami Galaxy again. 4/10 for the series, but a few good gags here and there.

It's very similar in vibe to a current show called Ai Mai Mi about a manga-drawing club, where the gag is that they never draw any manga. Ai Mai Mi has better characters though.

I just started Teekyuu, it's not very good. Go for Ai Mai Mi instead if you're gonna pick a psycho short anime, it's definitely more freakish.

The overarching plot of Case Closed is absurdly glacial, but I think the mysteries are generally very competent and creative for how short they are*.  If I ever feel like watching a couple of canned mysteries then I'll dip into it, and since it's so insanely long it's like an infinite well.

I think once you get an idea for the "rules" that govern the stories you can solve most of the cases that don't involve ridiculous string tricks.

*I can think of a few exceptions, mainly TV originals, but overall the quality is remarkably consistent.

New Tantei Opera Milky Holmes season (season 4) airing in January. I just hope they learned their lesson after season 3 (widely considered a trainwreck, which takes all the comedy out of a comedic detective parody and tried and make it a serious show. They should have known there's no way to turn a wacky loli detectives franchise into a serious show).

The most embarrassing part about using it though is that EVERYONE will know what animes I have watched. I am not sure anyone will care, but a lot of anime is weird and has weird names.

I don't think they would understand that a show called "Princess Tutu" is actually good.
