So, I decided to start watching Familiar of Zero today.

Wow, they finally finished the 10 episode 9-schools sports day arc in Mahouka, and I "eagerly" dove into the next episode to see what delights it had in store:

Another lot of Chinese commie criminal foreigners are getting blown up by patriotic Japanese wizards. They look, dress and act virtually identical to all the other mooks that have tried to attack Japan for the last 20 episodes. But this time they're actually involved in some sort of smuggling or something, and not attacking highschools, which you know is the normal, regular thing that international terrorists and crime syndicates do.

Don't the evil foreigners have any wizards of their own? The constant stream of hapless Chinese terrorists is just the sideline in Mahouka, of course. That never amounts to any story, just a couple of lacklustre "battles" and an easy victory for Tatsuya at the end of each arc.

Oh and it's launching into the "main plot" now. Oh wow, now they're enrolling Tatsuya in a "9 school thesis writing contest". As if "enrolment arc" (arc 1 is seriously called this) and "sports day arc" weren't exciting enough, now we get "debating team arc".
