Speaking of speaking about Gurren Lagann, I watched some more episodes today and finished the first... thing (arc I guess?)
First I was then I was then I was ;_;7 then I was just ;.; then it went back to for the rest of it.  Now for the OTHER 10 or so episodes left.

On the japanese website to promote the new digimon anime, there's a page with a digiegg on it that you can click on to rub once per day that you are directed to after skipping the trailer. when the rub counter reaches 0 then more info on the anime will be revealed. You can also get extra rubs by playing a typing game on the site,it's in japanese soooooooooo

Finale of the arc, he just butchered a whole room full of people without any risk to himself, and got them on the phone in between kills to gloat. All because they tried to rig his highschool sports day.

Seriously, picking people off one by one who have no way to fight back, and gloating to boot. Isn't this normally behavior of a villain and not a "big hero"? Slowly killing people and gloating to increase their fear, when you could easily have finished them off straight away. That's not "heroic" at all!!

Oh, and why not call the police if he's supposed to be a good guy, and not go and murder people who had not in fact killed anyone as part of their gambling plot. The problem is that this is a show that doesn't have the balls to kill off any of the "good guy" characters no matter how bad things get, yet it wants it's hero to go all mass-murderer on the bad guys.

I really do not like this author.

The problem is, the formula in Mahouka isn't right for the anti-hero mass murder stuff. Most of the time it's this fairly light highschool harem stuff where 15 girls all want the hero. Then, he just goes around butchering people the next minute, yet we're still supposed to see him as this nice guy, loved by all, that gets all the girls.

Think Archie comics, but if they had chapters where Archie murders people in an alley for kicks, then straight back into the highschool stuff without any repercussions.

It has the most inconsistent writing I think I've ever seen in an anime. The writer clearly never wrote anything before, it's like a fan fiction which tries to rip off the plots of everything else and cram them into one story.

Watching Kill La Kill. This is really good. It feels a lot like when I first watched Gurren Lagann way back when.

Oh, it's made by some of the same people. That might be why.
