If I've watched the Berserk animu, can I safely skip the Golden arc in the manga?

There's a good Yuri manga that I just finished a little while ago called Girl Friends. It's really cute, really sweet. Not a lot of fanservice and when the two finally get together you just want to hug them because it's really adorable.

So I was watching Knights of Sidonia, and I am not liking it as much as I thought I would.  I am a few episodes in.

I've only seen two episodes so far, but I've enjoyed it.

I never finished Blame! because it became too incomprehensible, but the style is nice. The author's sense of humor is very weird but his ideas are interesting. The OP and ED are also pretty great.

It also helps that I'm a pretty big fan of aliens eating people and despair and mecha.

Apparently Persona 4 the Golden the Animation is on crunchyroll, but the episodes aren't released yet so I can't watch it.

What is the point to the anime exactly?

Unless it is just an OVA meant to take place during the other anime.

Though if it is essentially a better remake of the anime with the extra scenes from Golden (the game) that would be interesting.

It's a remake of the anime to include the Golden content yes. To what extent it will be made is not fully known yet. I'm hoping that they use the opportunity to show some of the social link routes that were passed over in the first anime.

Its a new producer focusing with the added character Marie, I dunno how far they will add on the other extra social links. Hopefully just get some more episodes out of this.

Though more seriously you probably mean the ones the Alternate Sun and the Alternate Strength.

I am hoping the anime won't blitz past the social links. A few of them felt... insultingly easily resolved. One time by doing the EXACT opposite of what fixed it in the game.

I know it sounds weird talking about anime or whatever this would class as, but i really dislike that cartoony look where the character art is terrible compared to the background art. Makes things seem disjointed and crappy.

It's the CGI problem: when one things update at say 30 FPS and others update at 5-6 FPS at best.
