No Game No Life is a show about

- 2 earth game otaku / NEETs sent to a fantasy world
- they are unbeatable OP gaming nerds, basically.
- a god in that world decided that all wars be replaced with games
- "plot" involves 11 year old girl consistently stripped nude, with tons of fanservice
- busty girl also gets same treatment
- oh and they're brother and sister and very clingy to each other. the older brother seems to have deliberately gotten his own sister nude at least once. So there's implied pedo incest.

So basically you have a nerd who never leaves his room, but don't feel bad because he's got a hot nerd loli imouto who also never leaves the room and can't seem to keep her clothes on

That's not all there is in the story, there's some good stuff like battling to take over the world. But they don't have the screen time to even finish off more than 1 small neighbouring country at this stage. So that will most likely never happen outside of the novels or manga.

I can't speak for anyone else, it has it's moments and a lot of devoted fans, but for me it's a disappointing series because of how buried in tropes it is. NGNL is definitely a harem structure. The MC started with 1 devoted girl, his imouto. He picked up a busty tsundere one along the way (who is the shows buttmonkey, and always being forced by the other characters to dress up as a dog girl or a maid or something), and now he has another busty one who calls him "master". There's not one other male character of any note, either friend or foe.

So, yeah it really is gamer nerd fantasy wank, what with the hot nerd loli who always games with you in your dark room and being sent to a world of gamers where you're the unbeatable King, and you pick up a bevy of busty babes whilst your LEET gaming skillz make you king of the world.

Coulda been a lot more. It's also rated "8.68" on MAL which like Mahouka points at the sad state of the modern crop of anime fans. 1 entire point higher than Knights of Sidonia is just *facepalm*.

Oh and the most belief-stretching thing about NGNL, well it's really Fridge Logic, is that this guy is a computer game nerd from Earth, sent to a world with fantasy races which have all sorts of superhuman powers.

And the games can be ANYTHING that the challenged player can think up. Literally any contest you can conceive. Yet nobody has yet thought to challenge him to any sort of contest that involves any athletic component. So yeah, the plot of him being a genius actually relies on everyone else in the entire world being a moron.

Perhaps there's some rule that the games can't be any sort of sports and have to be cerebral games, but this hasn't been stated or anything. It's just implied.

From the anime, i think i liked the first arc Phantom Blood the best, it certainly has the most punch with the story. Although the OP for Battle Tendency is the most fabulous one.
