Well guys, it's over. The ending was great, not perfect, but a whole great romp of fun, just like the show as a whole. I... I dunno what I'm gonna have to look forward to on Mondays anymore T_T
I guess I'll have Jojo starting this Friday. Anyways as for the episode itself:
The dissapointing:
-Bearguy-San and Miss Sazabi getting taken out by the Solar Cannon before they could barely get any screen time. Aila didn't even get to show off her frankly rediculous arsenal as shown in the actual kit. Actually I think Miss Sazabi was animated out of scale since it has Master Grade parts in it and should tower over all the other Gunpla. I can already feel the indignation emanating from Neonivek's reaction
-Since the Universe Booster got trashed last episode we didn't get one last scene of the discharge being used.
-No Odaiba statue Gundam performing the Last Shooting on A Baoa Qu. Darnit.
The fricking awesome:
-The Crossbone Gundam Maoh's introduction was AWESOME. After all the jokes people were making abouthow Mao was getting excluded in all the PV images of the ep, he finally redeemed himself. And they even gave the Crossbone its obligatory Speed Metal riffs
-AMAZING EXIA REPAIR. No I dun't care if it means Bandai's gonna sell us yet ANOTHER Exia variant kit. That was an A Meijin way for Yuuki to come back into the battle that I never suspected, and I've always liked the Termi-Exia shoulder cloak. Funfact! The liscense rules that kept the late 00 and AGE suits out was that anything aired in the last 5 years could not be used. 00 season 2 ended March 29, 2009. You magnificent bastards Sunrise
-Ral and the Master being awesome. My gosh how much budget did they spend on that Darkness Sekiha Tenkyoken.
The Adorable:
-And so everyone's dreams came true. Even Sazaki got a fan. Unless that's his sister or something.
-I was so terrified in sadness when Reiji left until it turned out he brought Aila with him since she had the last crystal with her. If she'd stayed behind I would have made a joke about how they're gonna have to renew her Visa
-Those gunpla Mao and the Master had at the epilogue were built irl by Sei and Reiji's voice actors some time ago.
The mildly amusing:
-And of course Bandai snuck in a last minute chance to show off their accessory swapping gimmick and how Gunpla limbs are swappable. I don't mind.
Since Nils replicated the crystal, I guess if the show ever gets a sequel they'll be traveling to Arian instead of the other way round. I like how they made the mountains curve just enough so that we couldn't tell if it was inside a colony or not. Ah well, guess we'll find out if they do anything for the 40th anniversary next year.
It's been fun! Can't wait for G-Reko to happen. Truly, this is a wonderful year to be a Gundam fan.
MOEAGARE GUNPLAAAAA
