I was going to make a snarky comment about making a real mobile suit like the GM or Zaku first.  But apparently it is just a life-sized replica.

Meh probably is gonna turn out to be making statues of a ton more of the gundams with extra moving parts. Silly awesome either way.

So that new KLK episode 23. Pretty good. Wasn't quite what I was expecting but still pretty good. Guess Trigger's building up for the finale.

I freaked out a bit at 12 minutes. Clever of Trigger to provide the infodump about super-powered life fibers needing to be cut in half simultaneously like scissors to overwhelm the regeneration, and then that same episode have that one character LITERALLY GET CUT IN HALF. I got Attack on Titan flashbacks, I thought that that one character (that I won't risk spoiling for people) actually died at that one part.

...No idea how they regenerated from that. They got cut in half from simultaneous slicing attacks, which was stated to be fatal to life fibers. Their separate halves fell in two different directions. They were completely split apart. Seems like Trigger was just being a dick. "Ha, look, we suddenly killed a crucial character! Everyone's freaking out and all hope is lost and oh no wait they're fine because they're totes OP. Let the plot continue!"

Also I'm disappointed at the original life fiber. That battle was kinda lackluster.

Trigger had set it all up for the Naked Sun's Great Naked Blade charge attack to ram through the Original Life Fibers in a badass and original way, but instead they just popped in and gave Ryuko the emotional support to dig deep into her reserves of plot power (spiral power?) and cut through the Life Fiber core which she had just previously said was too tough. Once again, Ryuko persevered and took down the thing that everyone else had trouble against. Way to carry the team, Ryuko-chan.

Pretty sure the rationale is that she blocked one of Ragyo's blades with her own partway through, so part of her lower body was only cut off by one blade and ended up hanging by a thread (heh) like Ragyo's head did that one time.  She regenerated from there. Of course, logic doesn't really apply any more than it did with the needle last episode.

I thought Guts traveled alone with a pixie or something after the Eclipse and was never again happy.

Giving Guts a traveling harem was obviously more in line with character.

Well, I was more speaking of the fact that both Schierke and Farnese have a thing for Guts. It's not a question of which female characters want to get with him besides Casca post-(almost)rape, it's which don't at this point.

Don't take this as me saying I don't like Guts & His Merry Troupe, of course I do. But there are two possibilities I see with it; Either Miura is going safe and constructing an unkillable main cast like most series, or eventually the sadness bomb is going to drop hard. Again.
And in the case of the second, he's building them up like this on purpose to deepen the tragedy (Especially with Schierke and Farnese).
