You're getting close to the part where I started enjoying the show again (mostly the last episode). I won't tell you what this means for your hypothesis, other than that if you remember how season 1 went, I'm pretty sure that the ending was something they knew was going to happen from the beginning, and the rest of R2 was improvised to account for executive meddling.

Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Not sure if I like that or not.

As the narrator himself says in a later episode, the defining trait of the show is it's turbocharged breakneck pacing. It's a show that had me entranced from the very first few seconds I'd watched of it, but I can understand if it's just WAY WAY WAY too much for some people.

Yeah, while I do enjoy it, it's just kind of unbelievable seeing an entire anime running on the same idea as the first episode of Tower of Druaga.
