Rosario + Vampire Season II updated.
Revelations were had, pasts were elaborated, decisions that likely have life-altering consequences were made, and tropes were subverted.

Claymore updated.
WHAT IS EVEN GOING ON ANYMORE. WHERE IS CLARE? For like the last 5 chapters everything is over my head. You need a freaking whiteboard with diagrams to keep track of everything that's happening, and I still don't know where Clare is.

Watching Toaru Majutsu no Index. It's quite enjoyable. Something happened that is kind of annoying though, because I don't understand why it was done. It was like an unnecessary plot development that's being displayed as a necessary plot development, and it's frustrating me because I'm just stuck waiting to see why it happened.

It's basically used as a one-off drama. I never noticed anything significant because of it.

Did somebody say HARDCORE COOKING MANGA (aka volume 12 and 13 of Bambino):
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This is great.  I always wanted life or death battles involving cooking.

Been reading Centaur's Worries/Centaur no Nayami, a slice-of-life manga where mundane humans are replaced my mythological creatures like centaurs, angels, and satyrs.
Pretty good, I recommend it.

Psh. Cooking Master boy did it first!

Goodness that Anime (though it is Chinese so I don't know what its proper name would be) had everything. CURSE whoever cancelled it!

the proper term for chinese anime is

[drumroll]

anime

christ you're talking about a generalized form of animation you can even call a french series an anime and it will work (okay this is a fuzzy one but with precedent so yeaaaaah)

Yeah but it did replace the word Japanimation. So it has its meaning derived from it.

Only in the West, but it wasn't derived from it.  It's derived from "animation", being the Japanese word for that.

Either way blanketing "anime" to mean animation in a blanket term for a western definition... isn't an improper use of the term.

Especially when the western definition is synominous to Japanimation.

I don't think there's enough of a division between the Anime and Not-Anime camps on this board for the definition to matter much.
