I just saw Little Witch Academia, which is just an animated short.

I love it. Everything was made to fit together. The music and artstyle has an incredible amount of expressiveness and charm. The sweet, fun, and simple story isn't mismatched with the overall mood. It's one of those things where you can't stop smiling the whole way through.

I can easily see myself watching this several times as some kind of happy drug.

As far as episode 1 goes I'm sure Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) is gonna be my anime of the year.  Fate/zero was last year anyway...

There's also the Dangan Ronpa anime in July which I'm curious to see even if you should really play the games first.

Just finished the latest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure tv series (well, season 1 of it).

'Tis amazing. And bizarre. Very amused by Cars getting the Pokey treatment.

Anyway, i'm going over the spring line-up here:

Not a lot of new stuff that jumps out. Some 2nd seasons i might watch one day, but for shows which were the fun-but-trashy kind, like Haiyore Nyarko-san, Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls (awesome production values, shame about the plot), my little sister can't be this cute, and Toaru/Railgun all getting new seasons.

There are a few new movies to look out for: Hanasaku Iroha was actually a fairly good slice-of-life show with realistic characterization, and is getting a movie. Plus the Steins;Gate move, and a new Higurashi movie too!

Other than Attack on Titan, anyone else have any tips on new stuff to look out for?
