I was gonna get Virtue's Last Reward next week, probably.  I would have back in October or November if 1. I had money and 2. Wasn't in the middle of a semester anyway.

Not that 2. really stops me ever.

As you may already know (knowing Toony, he definitively does), Virtue's last Reward, the sequel to 999 got released last month (for us 'peans at least. With a less than optimal port too I bet :V).
And I'm gonna play the shit out of it once it's done downloading. On hard mode, of course. I'm not a wuss.

I've finished it on the European port.  The only difference that I'm aware of is that the NA version has English and Japanese voice acting, while the EU version only has Japanese.  The Japanese acting is perfectly good anyway.

It's pretty great.  Hard Mode is hilariously meaningless though.

Okay so I just finished the first set of puzzles. Also, while the European port lacks the English dub, it has the Japanese dub and the English subs. Almost the best of both worlds, except that I can't listen to people talking without looking at the screen.

Well Hard Mode is legit harder than Easy Mode, but the thing is the answer is the same in both.  So once you've done Easy Mode you can do it within about 10 seconds on Hard Mode.

e: they got rid of the innuendo elevator but they mainly just spread it around the rest of the game

Unusual only because its anime original, rather than manga or novel inspired. Frankly, I don't have huge hopes for it, and sure it'll probably be generic moe, but I expect it to be at least vaguely solid. Also, at the moment I'm okay with KyoAni since Hyouka was actually pretty good.

I finished the rest of Diebuster earlier today.  I agree with Josh that Gunbuster is better, I really didn't care for either overall though.

More importantly, I'm caught up with Dorohedoro and it huuuurts.
