I believe that only happened in three of the endings. Of course it's no coincidence that the first anime I watched after that was Higurashi no naku koro ni.

The only 2 series that I know that would possibly be all gore and no substance are Gantz, and Battle Royale. In my opinion Higurashi no naku koro ni was good, and had a great plot.

Basically until the second season whereupon the creators put in plot holes that would put The Glow's size to shame, and in addition they removed all the gore.

Thread revival POWER!

I just finished watching Gunbuster. Every site I go to praises it very highly, but I can't why. The story is great, but the most plot relevant characters where had sue-ish qualities that just made some of the show disgusting and unwatchable. I had to get up and walk around every couple of minutes I watched the main character if only because my mind can't take how retarded she is.

Plus there's a Russian chick that keeps flip-flopping between "total bitch" and "best friend", and it gets sorta confusing.

Well Chaos;Head is somewhat of a good series.

Except for the fact that I wished to strangle the main character for the majority of the time.
Also there's the fact that the creators didn't realize that all of the other potential heroines were much better than Rimi.

I've found it's hard to find likable anime main characters. For some reason secondary characters are just more interesting half the time.

More to the topic though I like Keroro Gunsou, a lot. Enough to make retarded videos about it in fact. And thankfuly I find Sgt. Keroro a rather good main character, although I like Tamama more.

Anway, I just finished watching the first episode of Gunbuster 2. It can be summed up if you imagine Studio Gainax trying to say something along the lines of:

"OH, you thought Noriko from Gunbuster was retarded? You haven't even fucking SEEN retarded yet. We've got this bitch, Nono, she'll be making you BEG for the good ol' days with Noriko. This is what you get for actually wanting wanting a sequal to a show with one of the best endings we could ever throw together. Now eat it, EAT IT!"

I'm sure... no... I'm POSITIVE that I can't bash thing in any way that it already hasn't been bashed before a million times already. It's too fucking ridiculous. You'd have to see it to believe it, it's not something I can describe.
