Which scenes in particular? Sailor Moon in Japanese uses this funky style music during fights, which is not the theme song. So that's not what you're talking about obviously. Or are you talking something from a specific episode or season?

Do you mean something other than action scenes and ending credits by "closing"?? I'm confused...

EDIT: Oh god i just heard the dub version of her transformation song and I wanted to puke. So cheesy. I much prefer the bass-heavy funky Japanese version.

Since the only lyrics are "Oooooh" and "Saaaailoooor Moooon" the only reason for rewriting the music is to avoid paying royalties.

That transformation song came later (or was part of the American Dub) and yes even I dislike it.

l'll trade missing one new song per every 45th episodes, for prefering the regular music in EVERY episode.

And the sub version lacks the "sailor says" segments, has additional footage of the actual episodes instead,  plus has more fan-service and deaths, they totally crippled all the death scenes that the Japanese version had in episode 45-46 leading up to the queen Beryl fight.

Plus the dub cut out some episodes completely, like the one where Sailor Moon becomes a punk rocker.

I don't know... Jedite's "death" was still possitively grim and creepy (Actually I have to say... a few of the deaths are genuinly more scary since you don't know what happened).

Though yeah they did but given the audiance they made it for... they couldn't have kept the deaths.

It reminds me of Magic Pengel where someone was shoot and the person lied in a pool of blood. This being a game for children it also contained copious amounts of huge jiggly breasts... it wouldn't be as acceptible here.

Actually, the Japanese canon IS that they died. But Sailor Moon used her awoken powers to reverse time, which killed her, though they all returned to their previous existence before they met and lost their memories.

As for deaths, the best ever is the girl who gets decapitated in Mars Of Destruction and the helpful doctor's comment, standing over her headless body, "she won't make it". No kidding?

Which is probably another aspect I thought was weird about the original dub... was that one power of the Silver Imperium Crystal.

I'm a little confused.

One fact that seems to be clear is that Zaruko actually fell off a building on July 12th near the beginning.  And all of that strange drunk lesbian stuff we got for five or so days was actually an illusionary world that Yuki allowed to make Zaruko happy?  It would really explain Kagami and Tsukasa's strange behavior...but at the same time it would almost completely void their real selves since we only got one scene of the two of them before getting a face full of illusionary doll.

I ended up reading a lot of Ludwig Wittgenstein thanks to this too...besides the obvious Through The Looking Glass.

I was going to start higurashi (VN) after getting bored of shuffle (I'll finish it because is short as hell, but it's only mediocre), but after looking at the art quality I'm scared I'll lose interest due to it like it happened with tsukihime (It's quite good, but I cannot bring me to continue after chaos fight in ciel route due to what I said before). Should I give it a try or look at another thing?

And by the way, any VN as rockin' awesome as fate stay/night?
