Nevertheless, a lot of people wearing heavy armor do tend to get thrown into freezing seas.
I'm sure they had built-in Water Wings.

Also it isn't very heavy armor as you don't want to restrict the soldier's bending abilities.

They don't count as people if you can't see their faces ;]

Also believe it or not we are meant to assume that everyone survived.

It is one of the weirder aspects of the show.

Heck even the off screen death's official status on whether or not the death actually happened was "unclear".

The main distinction I saw was that Aang was grappling with the the fact that he was specifically planning to kill Ozai. None of the battlefield deaths a premeditated; they may die as a result of your fight, but you were not planning on killing them specifically.
Confronting Ozai so that you could fight him and kill him would be murder, however justified.

Well I think I shall brave up to fight the next series of Prince of Tennis Filler...

And right when the series was getting good too... they were JUST starting to exit the "I wasn't trying" phase and get to the point where characters were just doing as hard as they could and battles were more about skills then these overwhelming gimics. Even my favorite tennis player had a awsome match and the most boring one didn't get one (yay!).

I don't know

Have any of you just watched a REALLY awsome section of an anime... then next episode you just went "ohh gawd... the filler!" (and this series has terrible filler.)?

My favorite filler episode of all time though was definately in Rozen Maiden. I never laughed harder watching an anime. Heck for some series the filler's issue is less that it is bad (Naruto's filler was pretty good) and more that there was WAAAAAY too much of it.

Edit addition: Lucky for me the filler wasn't as horrible as it usually is. Admittingly the bulk of the jokes were lost on me, mostly because I don't find male characters turned into female ones funny, but it worked.

Edit Addition addition: It is also interesting that I can actually pick out how well each team's female tennis teams did (they exist but other then mentioning it ONCE for all I know they could be better then the boys team or worse then dirt) simply by how much free time the female tennis players seem to have. It is nice to know the two main schools in the show have really terrible female teams.
-Though I wouldn't be surprised if it was just that Middleschool Female Tennis teams arn't considered important or populated enough to have more then a District tournament. I have seen schools around where I live with full teams but simply not enough players to have tournaments.

Well I finished Higanbana - The First Night.

Was it enjoyable?  Mostly.  Was it good?  Uuuh it made sense sometimes.

Sometimes
IT'S A CONSPIRACY

I definitely won't be missing out on The Second Night when Ronove finishes it, at least....

maybe

tick tick tick tick SMASH

EDIT:
Shit I'm listening to all the music now I'm so angry some of these only played once.

I'd have to disagree with you there, even though I actually like Naruto. I think Bleach handled filler much better, at least in terms of integration into the overall plot and keeping the transition from filler to non-filler well defined.

Same here, and for the same reasons.

Who is the villain that wishes to wipe out humanity in the latest episode of Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I've been enjoying this series blasphemy against all things Lovecraft far too much. I think it's time to admit to myself that I like terrible humor.

It isn't really terrible humor if it makes you laugh, neh? And Nyarko-san is one of the few things lately that has drawn honest laughter from me.

Rebuild time! This just seems like a shorter version of Eva so far, but I'm only five minutes in.

edit: So so far I've found about ten versions that don't work at all, and one version that stops at exactly 4:51 and will not load past that no matter what. This is not entertaining.

Ok it wasn't great filler but it wasn't horrible filler like other shows. The Naruto filler is one of the reasons the characters are much more developed in the anime then they are in the manga.

Okay, I think I've got a working one. It's interesting which scenes they removed. I'm wondering why some of them are gone.
