Just finished Eva episode 10. This anime has quickly become about the power of teamwork and determination, and I'm disappointed at the lack of grimdark. I was promised Madoka levels of grimdark.

The buildup of Eva is a bit longer and more profound than Madoka. Give it time.

I have only found the first 8 episodes of madoka dubbed. Does anybody know where I can get the rest?

I'm pretty sure the dub is actively being released now.

Also I just finished episode 14 of Evangelion. The grimdark is looming very closely, I feel.

Actually, since I've forgotten most of NGE and what is left has been overwritten by idealism-influx from Shinji & WH40K, I've started on a rewatching of it myself. Good times.

I watched Gurren Lagann in one night and it's the same length, but I have to step away from Eva every once in a while.

Episode 20 completed. I've stopped knowing what's going on at this point. I'm assuming I'm going to stay confused for the rest of the anime.

So... was the whole dummy plug thing fake? Was that just the Eva running on fake Reis?

edit: Okay, so episode 25 is pretty much just watching a mental breakdown with some depressed introspection. This is not very entertaining.

Going through Desert Punk again. On the one hand, it has some pretty standard juvenile humor, but somehow there is just something adorable about it. That and it is nice and short.
