I...I don't know what to say
You don't know what to say, or you don't know what to say?
Oh no.  I don't know what to say to myself because I am not myself.  Myself and I can not be myself.  But another "Self".  I and myself are another myself.

...Huh?!  I'm lost.

I'm missing 23 endings holy crap.
SCREW IT, LET'S 100% THIS

And now I'm stuck, again.  For some reason I keep getting the same bad end even though I went back and copied what I did in my first playthrough exactly.
Where is "Self"?

Oh and here's something for Fate/zero fans.

Man it's really bothersome trying to get the bad ends since they never trigger and ctrl-ing through the same dialog is tedious.  I'll check the SA thread for the bad ends instead.  I think that should be okay.  Also informative.

Holy crap Annihilation Ends are ridiculous.  I can't believe I never got any of those.  Oh gog Suicide End.  This is so depressing.  I never thought the game would get this bad.

UP to ep 8 of Kamisama Dolls, and I have to say it's entertaining enough that I don't have to drag my feet going from one ep to the next. For a 13 ep series though, it really does feel like it's dragging IT'S feet. Plus I just don't like the many character archetypes present in this, with the characters being too emotional and jumpy, and the prevalence of the 'accidental pervert' trope that I won't link to is inexplicably thrown in just for lawl fanservice that couldn't be more misplaced if it tried, and I'll just never understand the sister getting furious and jealous at her brother when he advances on his obvious love interest.

Plus there's just so much contrived shit I swear. If feels like the plot is advancing by accident rather than any character actually pursuing their own goals.

I remember one visual novel I played where the entire ending was based purely on chance. Sorta...

What endings you had access to was determined by chance.

Here's a fun fact:

Also the reason the bad end kept happening was mostly likely because:

Watched through first season of Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka recently - rather outlandishly hilarious anime. That is all.

Commanders can perma-die, and Toony managed to lose both of the "you lose the game if this commander dies" characters at once.  You can just reload your last save though.

It's a fucking disaster.  This route is stupidly hard EVERYBODY IS AT WAR WITH MEEE it's like I'm playing Daiteikoku.
Spoiler: MAP (click to show/hide)

In manga news I finished Legend of the Strongest Man, Kurosawa and I'm almost done with Buraiden Gai.  Both are pretty good and are at least not boring.  Guess I'll have no excuses to start Gambling Emperor Legend Zero soon or....Gamble Fish.  Berserk is still a thing that is happening.  I love Berserk, on volume 33.

In anime news there is no news. (I watch Fate/zero on Saturdays).  I guess I'm half way done with Gunbuster but I'm buuuusy.

In VN news Remember11 is fully done, Sengoku Rance is being a bitch and...I'm on chapter 4 of Chaos;Head.

In LN news I'm on the last part of chapter 2 in the first volume of Index.  Way to not go.  Slow-poke.

I finally got around to finishing Kamisama Dolls. Apparently I made the fatal error of assuming the 13 ep series was going to be a short story with a tight plot arc. Nope, it's just unfinished! Dammitall, and just as things were starting to pick up, and branch into a sort of SCRYED type awesome battle story.

I've never seen a 12 episode series that didn't strike me that way. (Note: I haven't watched the one you're referencing.) I loathe series that are super short, as both that and long series full of filler strike me as pure laziness.

I like shorter things, since it means that I don't need to devote huge amounts of time to watch it all, and hey, if they can pack an entertaining experience in however many eps that they choose, that's great. I like that.

It's why I'm attracted to OAV's that are only an episode or so long, since I'm thinking that hopefully I'll get a nice package of entertainment given a short investment of time.

Of course, there's just certain things and developments that shorter things just can't do, it's the advantage to having a long series in that you have time to naturally flesh out the entire world and characters in the show, while shorter things have to skillfully abbreviate the entire world so that the audience can understand what's going on and become immersed.

You should just take a short series as if it were a long animated movie.

Speaking of animated movies...just finished watching Macross Frontier - Wings of Goodbye. It's been a while since I went through different versions of "...what...", "WHAT?!?", "WTF!" watching something. I found the intergalactic war with bug aliens, space dogfights, laser and missile spam light show while 2 songstress perform in the background quite enjoyable (different plotline aside that has a curiously similiar theme with the latest Gundam movie). Oh, and the love triangle is finally resolved...

Some preview pics of the stuff I liked:

@Lord Shonus:

Mind posting a small list of 12 ep. shows that you feel are like that? Either I find that I disagree with you or get a nice list of stuff to avoid. Neither would particularly ruin my day.

Re: Short series'

I pretty much agree with Joshua on his points. I've probably said it before but I find short/mini-series to be ideal length for storytelling purposes. 4-16 episodes is enough to give more backstory than a film while still keeping it nice and tight. Nothing against long shows as such, I just find them much more daunting to get started with.

Agreed, too. Long series, while they're nice, tend to be... well, long for casual viewing. You can only watch a long series from start to end when you devote some of your time to it, and considering that most of us don't have enough time for everything, yeah.

Not to mention the fillers. Gosh, I really hate filler episodes. When you're viewing a short series, they tend to cut down filler, giving you something that actually means something to the plot, instead of dragging on for very long (Long runners such as Naruto and Bleach are very, very notorious for this).
