I watched the first five episodes of Lain, and I had no clue what was going on, besides that it was creepy and some girl has a computer. I was also sick and delirious though, so that might've played a part in it.

I was impressed with my ability to figure out one of the characters is voiced by Jouji Nakata.

Watched the first episode of Mysterious Girlfriend X. I was introduced to drool fetishism. It was not a pleasant experience for my stomach.

Tsuritama was at least watchable even though I'm left wondering why the hell there are middle-eastern secret service agents protecting a duck. The main character's social anxiety is also far too relatable.

Welp, to Batoto to figure out what the hell that's about.

Edit:  This'll do nicely for the crazy I was talking about...

*Reads first chapter*
WHAT
*Reads next chapter*
WHAT WHAT WHAT IS HAPPENING
*Keeps reading*
This is perhaps the strangest thing that I have ever read, and that is pretty impressive.
Perhaps the weirdest thing is how none of the storylines actually finish up (so far at least), and just go on to equally strange storylines that are also unfinished.

I don't think they ever will.  The author is just making random ideas into short stories.

You know...this is the first time I think that an actual disclaimer is worth having for something.

That is indeed a thing that happens.

Hey I thought only heroes could do that!

In other news, Area 88 was good. Planes and dogfights were cool. Only problem I had was with the characters; Kitori and Kim can go die in the desert. Based on character art I was expecting some kind of pretty boy crap, it wasn't. That makes me happy.

I'm now working on Bubblegum Crisis, watched the first two episodes so far. It's basically Blade Runner with more action, which is awesome.

Does anyone have anything to comment on Trinity Blood? I sampled the first episode a bit to see if I should chuck it in my backlog. I hated when the main character (?) vampire killer priest was obfuscating stupidity and the indecisive frightfulness of the pope. Other than that it seemed like a pretty awesome Hellsing-esque splatfest though. Would you say it plays out like Trigun, pacing back and forth between the Silly and the Serious for most of the show?
