So... this is where all the anime fans hang out, is it? Never really watched any myself, until recently i started watching Fullmetal Alchemist, because of reasons. Seems alright.

Fullmetal Alchemist was quite good  :D

I've heard FMA: Brotherhood is even better, but haven't found/made the time to watch it yet.

I finished Bakemonogatari.  SHIT

SHITSHITSHIT

Agh that was no good at all, no good
Spoiler: Ararara (click to show/hide)

To be concise.  Neat visuals and some cool music.  Some okay arcs (Monkey), but the majority was pretty awful with a bland plot, unlikable characters, avoiding anything interesting, and at most importantly not very enjoyable at all.  It's not worse than Madoka at least.  Shaaaaft

Well I'm out of time

Time for more retro anime, dredged from the realm of semi-obscurity (unless you lived in Japan or the Philippines)!

Juuni Senshi Bakuretsu Eto Ranger ("Eto Rangers" for short) is the story of the 12 spirits of the Chinese zodiac, who pilot a time traveling Kirin Mecha to save world literature. The spirit of Cats (who in mythology was denied a place in the zodiac because of Rat's trickery) leads a horde of monsters that seek to ruin stories by entering them and corrupting them, usually changing the genre or time-period, with disastrous results for the story's characters.

(Click to Embiggen)

The Eto Rangers are led by Bakumaru the Spirit of Rats, who uses a magic mirror that can reveal the true nature of illusions. Other characters include Horus the Spirit of Oxen, a simpleminded guy who enters a rage whenever he sees something red; Nyorori the Spirit of Snakes, who serves as the team's mystic, and uses minor telekinesis to move and carry things; Tarto the spirit of Chickens, team tomboy and acrobatics specialist, who is self-conscious and has a strong protective streak; Monk the Spirit of Monkeys, an egotistical prankster, self-proclaimed genius, and rival to Bakumaru; and more.

8 episodes have English fansubs done so far, with more in the works. It looks like a cute show with an interesting premise, and it's funny to watch Japanese takes on European literature and folklore. I hope they eventually do something like The Great Gatsby or The Scarlet Letter or something... I could not begin to describe my joy at the thought.

Trying to figure out why Kamen Rider amuses me so.
It's a combination of cheesy and awesome. Alternatively, it's Decade's fault.

hit it's weak point for MASSIVE DAMAGE!

the original video seems like it was from so long ago, glad to see people still remember it.

@Toony: Heh, Haruhi 10 & 11's "jumping" around can be a bit confusing in the beginning ain't it?
Oh, a friendly reminder...it's coming...soon:

Been reading more of the Baccano! light novels (there's about 10 of them fully translated now) and loving it. So much characters and stories that jumps timelines to enjoy. Also good to see certain characters descendants interact with the immortals we adore (Especially the great grandkids of our favorite bloody broken/hax assassin...who is still alive and not slowing down in the least).

Also been reminded of Kaze no Stigma. Enjoyed the anime and what was translated of the novels. Too bad it will be forever incomplete because of the authors death.

Also started reading the manga's D-Frag (Good ol' weird random fun stuff) and BTOOOM! (title is so stupid...but still, it amused me enough).

Btooom!'s title is probably the least stupid thing about it.  Gah

I just finished watching Black Lagoon: Second Barrage. There's very few shows that capture my attention such that the moment I finish an ep, I immediately start up the next one. Any show like that immediately earns an automatic recommendation.

I mean, I kind of want to see what happens next. The ending is good and all, but it's really obvious that there's alot more development that the characters can receive.
