Finished Bakemonogatari episode 10.
Monkey arc was the best one so far. I still skipped some of the talky scenes because I am weak, and the ending was a bit wonky for me, but it was nice.
Snake arc was one of the more embarrassing things I've seen recently.
Maybe I should watch the DVD version or something.

Nichijou thoughts again.
- The voice acting was GREAT. Mio and Yukko's yells are the highlights of the show. Mio's in particular sound hilariously anguished. Love Yukko's voice she's in panic mode. She has a super vocal range. I'm honestly surprised to search up the seiyuu and not see much work from a lot of the characters. I guess there isn't enough over-the-top comedy anime like this going around.
- The animation in Nichijou is too buttery smooth. It has set a ridiculously high bar that will always be sitting in the back on my mind now.

Finished Bakemonogatari.
The Cat arc was - by far - so much better than the other arcs, it's a bit ridiculous. This and the Monkey arc felt like the only ones that didn't feel like a car crash of smooth sailing of random dialogue for an episode or two before a ginormous pileup of important plot explaining everything. I liked the arc a lot, except episode 12, which wasn't bad at all, since it's the point where I actually look at Senjougahara in some sort of positive light, and she is super cute. However, it also felt sorely misplaced, since I was hoping for cats.
As far as the arcs go, Cat>Monkey>Snail>>>>>Crab>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Snake
I don't know how I feel about some of the things. Senjougahara and Araragi as a couple are nice and cute and all, but it literally seemed to come out of nowhere. Lots of romances are like that I suppose, but it happened really fast in Bakemonogatari. I think the relationship was just about mashed out by the first 5 episodes, and after that, it was just the two messing around, except for choice times where the power of love is needed.
Also, a lot of the dialogue seems so inane compared to what's going on otherwise, I have a hard time laughing or even smiling. As you can tell, I'm the life of parties. I can't help but feel the little conversations contrast so much with the mood, it just doesn't work well. I had my buttcheeks tensely clenched the whole series because of the environment and the way they presented everything. Everything is a vast emptiness. No one is seen except the main characters. There are supernatural things happening. The last thing I need from Araragi is him calling out the jokes from some other character. If I were in the show, I'd be the asshole saying, "Senjougahara. Araragi. Please. Your romance and banter is cute, but there are spirits to deal with. Please take this seriously."
It's obviously a personal problem. I derive my pleasure from having Oshino calling out the other people's BS.
The world of Bakemonogatari feels draining, dark, and dreary in its emptiness, and not in a bad way, since I can see why they'd want to focus on the main caste. But it sucks, because I do like the dialogue overall, just not so much the package I guess.
Also, the art annoys me sometimes.
I'm actually having a very hard time explaining why I didn't like the series as a whole that much.
EDIT: I think I will sleep, regather my thoughts, and try to better explain my Bakemonogatari feelings.
