Looks like TDX will be resuming Liar Game.  Hell yeah.  I am totally reading ready for some more LG action.

While that's great news, it does catch the live action series with it's pants down, since it improvised a very definite final ending to the series. I guess they just presumed that the manga was never going to finish, so they just made up their own ending to give the television watching fans some closure.

And that's sad, because I love the male, live-action Fukunaga SO MUCH, but I guess I'll just have to settle for the haughty transgendered Fukunaga, who's still lovable in her own right.

EDIT: Like seriously, GONNA MISS HIM SO MUCH!

Finished watching Black Jack 21, and I have to say that I'll gladly and lovingly place it in my collection of the most fucking outrageous animes to bear witness to.

Definitely a colorful character.

Ah Soul Eater; contains all three of the things I dislike in anime and yet I still like the show, at least so far.
I think I heard somewhere that the ending isn't good?

Though the worst I've ever seen outside outright Eichi, such as Ninja Scroll, is Marchen Awakens Romance with their Spring Loaded Breasts (UGH!), Stripperific fetish battles, and a really horrible battle with the Queen (Honestly has NO one seen this?).
I had absolutely no problem with the fanservice at all, but I hated the way they rushed through the last few battles.

Yeah that is pretty bad. I hate when a show shifts from "nobody dies" to "Everybody dies".

The Fanservice was only really REALLY bad in the last battles anyhow where it felt like they were taking away the character's dignity. (That and the plot twist was hillariously bad ESPECIALLY in light of what we know about Marchen world)

Spoilers are out for chapter 139 already.  I'm gonna wait until TDX actually release the chapter though...

Depends, I'd say the ending was satisfactory, but not the best.

I suppose I have enough time into Kagetsu Tohya to actually make some comments about it!

It's actually pretty nice.  Tsukihime had a nice thing going with the setting and stuff but the majority of it was pretty well, boring, and made me want to go crazy.

Remember how I said that short story that was in Tsukihime PLUS+DISC was really cool?  Well, Kagetsu Tohya is basically Tsukihime: Short Story edition.  There's the main game which is already cool in its own right thanks to NANAYA and END OF THE WORLD and TIME LOOPS and THROWING HAM AT CATS.  But there is also the 10 nights of dreams thing which is 10 'short' stories, which are pretty lengthy in reality.  You unlock the short stories as you play the main story and I already have 3 of the 10.

So it's pretty much Fate/hollow but in the Tsukihime setting&characters.  Which just by reading that sounds pretty awesome.  I really like Nanaya way too much though, it might be unhealthy.

For the short stories, I've already read Dawn (the Nero one) and Nanako-chan SOS (which had a pretty depressing ending).  Currently reading 'A Story for the Evening' which again is basically what I wanted in Tsukihime.  Weird mystery shit and psychopathic characters.

...I just realized that so far none of the short stories have had Tohno Shiki as the protagonist.  That's actually pretty cool.  The PLUS+DISC short story did the same thing.

*crosses fingers for Yumizuka protag.

And I guess I have to read Foul's Errand after I finish KT too?  I wouldn't even know that existed unless Mirror Moon told me.

EDIT:
Oh, and I'm about half way done with book 3 of Suzumiya Haruhi.  Since I finished Fate/zero I decided I just had to start reading Haruhi so...I did.  It's basically exactly what I wanted.

AHahahahAHahaha.......haaa.....Isn't it sad Sacchin? There were hints of Tsukihime remake with expanded stuff (like rumored Satsuki route). Ataraxia has even more funnier & interesting side stories for the other characters...

Oh, Toony...have you read Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin (Gospel of the Future) Yet? Basically a side story and some stuff years later after the Epilogue.

Anywho, I recommend an interesting little the Manga adaptation of the Light Novel called Maoyuu Maou Yuusha or The Demon Queen And The Hero which is basically like Spice and Wolf meets Medieval High Fantasy. Fun stuff....

So I started watching Akagi, which was made by the same guy that made Kaiji.

Basically, it's like Kaiji, except Akagi's all about playing Mahjong. Now, while I literally have no clue how to play Mahjong, I'm still finding this show quite entertaining for the 3 eps I've watched. Maybe I'll even learn something about mahjong while I'm at it.

I do find it bizarre though, that Akagi is gambling super genius at age 13... who actually looks like he's 20-something. Wtf. I've yet to see a single Zawa Zawa yet though. That, and this seems to be the origin of the nose-centric character design.

I'm also sad that I've only recently looked into reading the One Outs manga, and I find that only a little bit has actually been scanlated, and only 1 or 2 chapters are being finished a month... and there's 6 entire volumes that remain untranslated. So depressing, since I LOVED the One Outs anime so much, and I'm only going to get a very slow trickle of the manga.

Really?

Hmm I tried to watch Akagi much earlier but found the first episode to be rather boring so much so that I didn't finish it.

If it actually gets better maybe I'll such it up

Enjoyment is such a painful affair.

That remake is real!  It will come out when Fate/hollow is finished being translated...

EDIT:
Oh, and because I can
look at THIS

Man, I really like Akagi so far, he's sociopathic enough to avoid being a Gary Stu, but manages to be a crazy out of his mind genius that's fun to watch.

But man, Mahjong is hard as hell to follow. To try to see if I could learn Mahjong, and thus follow the show better, I look up the rules online.

My worst fears have been confirmed, the game is as hideously complicated as I originally suspected. I'm not going to pick this up just from reading a manual.

From what I understand Mahjong is like Poker if it also included puzzle elements.
