Originally the artist was going to draw the guy holding her from the other side... and instead of redrawing he chose to publish it anyway.

Well I change my opinion of Cage of Eden a bit.  The newest arc I read was marvelous I tell you, marvelous.

Some animes you only learn that you liked a bit later.

THOUGH in this case you are refering to an anime suddenly deciding "Ohh wait we DON'T suck" and then going to the next level.

Which other then really bad first episodes I can't think of many animes that just suddenly decide to get better.

I'm not sure better is the best word.  More like it's just doing more things that entertain me and less (or the same and I'm just getting desensitized) amount of stuff I still disagree with.

Also Zaji's death was amazing.  Hmmm, and I did not expect Hikime to just get splattered like that too, so much blood...

And there's still the ever crazy Arita-kun running about or whatever his name is, that could be fun.

Sengoku and Rion kind of suck still.  It's just I've kind of changed my thinking on the whole matter.  Also recently a lot more cooler characters have entered the picture so that helps.

I mean, Sengoku could be better if he just wasn't so gog damn generic shounen it hurts.  And Rion is just the female lead, childhood friend, and fanservice load, forever.  Forever.

I would say I started liking the series more around the 80's chapter mark.  Right now there's 99 English chapters.  That's a really sucky ratio.  Can't say I recommend it but if you like to see weird as ass shit then I guess it's okay.

When I first saw the birds, I thought they ate people whole and that "Help me" was from THE PEOPLE INSIDE IT'S STOMACH, so yeah guess how disturbed I was until I saw the next chapter.

Zaji is still alive, I'm calling it.

At least Rion has attributed SOMETHING, unlike the majority of the other not-even-cared-about group.

True, it's interesting enough but it comes down to personal preference. And about your spoiler...I've always wondered why they didn't bother to use that as an alternative option to help fix their "little problem" in that arc. Sure it's a bit risky but quite feasible. Also karma is abnormally quick to work in that place...though not as surprising considering the other stuff there.

Good to see your enjoying Gunslinger Girl, Leprotto is quite the fan favorite. Too late to say don't get attached to anyone huh?

Oh my gog I thought the exact same thing too Micro.  I was a bit disappointed too because Cage of Eden likes to do the stupidest stuff.  Karma really is godlike in that series too.  Almost anybody who opposes Sengoku will die.  I can only name a few exceptions and they're too awesome to die anyway.

Now I'll catch up in Gunslinger Girl.  I'm on volume 12 or something, two more to go!
