I mean... The current Anime I am watching the villain is Sai...

She honestly has the most complex psychology out of all the characters as well as being somewhat sociopathic (she really comes off as a lying sociopath). However there is very little in reason as to why she does anything in the anime as in yet except the possibility that she is a truely unhappy person.

As the anime goes on good things honestly happen to Sai but she throws it away because it never brings her any fulfillment... and the anime even highlights that she apperantly dumps boys rather quickly after winning them over. Yet it doesn't seem like she is bored (as often villains in similar shoes are).

She manages to be the most interesting character and actually the one I am starting to hope has a happy ending. She is the only character in the show that can have an unhappy ending.

I am starting to develop a weird tendency to feel sympathy for the villains.

Not because I think what they are doing isn't so bad but because I often see what is essentially a person doomed to perpetual unhappyness.

Mind you... not all villains (Dang it Yakkate Japan!!! You did NOT just pull that ending did you?)

Big order (by the author of mirai nikki) is about a boy who in the end decides to start conquering the world (only one chapter btw)
OR THERE IS:
Shina dark, (completed but leaves everything to halt, due to the way the magazine usually have series finish.) and then there is Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou.
magic, a boy who wishes to become a high priest, ends up "sorted out" like in harry poter to become in the future the maou (demon king) still in progress as a series.
that said...anyone else has suggestion on "overlords taking over the world" mangas?
(there is also another one more on the gag comedy thing about a boy who wants to "modify" a girl to use as a minion, can't recall the name)

“Well,” he said. “We’re in the Forgotten hunting grounds I take it. Your screams just woke them up early. Congratulations, Lyara.”
“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.
Basileus clapped his hands once. The Forgotten took a step forward, attracted by the sound.
“There, I did something. I clapped. I like clapping,” he said. -The Investigator And The Case Of The Missing Brain.

It's one of the things I've been enjoying about FSN (that and the fact that all the antagonists usually end up clashing with each other).  I guess it can go too far and have you routing for the villain, but having a villain with decent motivations certainly makes it easier to get into a story.

Big Order has just started.  I wouldn't start reading that unless you like waiting every month for updates.

Does that category have to include being touched by physical objects?

It needs to be a legitimate knockout and not a wimped unconscious or comedic knockout. (or rather it can't be something where the character acts so wimpy that they are knocked out from things that normally wouldn't... and it can't be done for comedic effect where a character is knocked out by something that normally wouldn't do so)

Example of Wimped Unconscious: Paris knocked out to Watergun in Pokemon

I've just started reading mirai nikki(thanks to your post :p)and I must say the sheer madness of nearly all the characters is absolutely lovely, just thinking about Gasai Yuno is sending chills down my spine >.<.
I'm only at chapter 16 right now but I already feel severely disturbed  :D.

Have any of you ever seen a random relationship in an anime that was just soo odd that it almost HAD to be something.

For example in the anime I am watching the Nurse treats one of the characters rather oddly, for example she gets mad and almost abusive sometimes, which makes me think that maybe she is his mother. She treats everyone else much better however... (The real reason however... isn't as interesting.)

Making your own conclusions is perfectly valid I would say.  As long as there is a flow of logic why not.  Otherwise you'll just have to live with exactly what the author/writer tells you.

Gendo and Rei in NGE. You really start wondering what's going on there.

Hence Fiction of Fan.

Ok guys I do have a question:

How much power do schools in Japan have over their students?

I've heard in animes of schools expelling students for Living Together, being a Bikini Model, and even just hearing rumors.

This sounds actually quite horrible to me.

(Also Anime Colds are deadly... Don't get them)

Well, sometimes there are well-done villains, who's reasoning and overall behavior seems legit. Just finished Soukou no Strain and Ralph Werec is good example of such villain.

Hey everyone, now I have both a computer AND reliable internet in my own place! Maybe I can post around here a bit more often.

In my news, my friends' really want me to watch Steins;Gate, but man, I have so many things on my plate atm.

I'm almost done with a happy little anime called Nichijou, and it's the best thing I've watched in a very long time.
