I watched the entire first season of Haruhi Suzumiya no Yuutsu in 2 days. Fun shit.
You are now an amateur marathoner.

What the above guy said is true. Detective Conan/Case Closed is a very old longrunner. Good luck if you actually start marathoning that.

Detective Conan isn't a show that... holds up to marathoning very well as it is very formulaic to the point where by the time your at the 50th episode they start to bleed together.

To admit it isn't as formulaic as Cold Case detectives... but not every show can be predictible as to make the investigations moot.

Almost finished with Girlfriend of Steel 2/Angelic Days manga for NGE. Just need to find the last volume somewhere.

Neat manga series, the portrayals are nice, and I think the personalities are a believable result from canon if the various situations came to pass (except maybe Rei).

Also, if the general idea behind Gendo's and Yui's history is true as portrayed in the manga, then yeah, no freaking wonder Shinji is messed up.

Also, Gendo likes cats. (Tremble, mortals, and despair!)

Found the last volume and devoured it. Provides decent closure. Kaworu and Rei have very different personalities/powers in this manga series versus canon.

It's terribly cutesy and romantic, though I think the romance part is poorly done when it's held up to other series. However, what romance it does have is probably more likely to happen given the original series (with the exception of Rei, whose character is mostly rewritten).

I'd recommend it if you were bored or wanted to see the closest thing to a Canon!NobodyDies:Rei that exists.

Really enjoying the Dragonball manga. Was mildly sad when Goku developed legs, though. :P

*massive fistbumps*

Isn't it great?  I'm so glad someone else is reading it!  I'm actually going to start a reread tomorrow, I think.  Mornings should be devoted to manga and fun, not exhaustion and work :I  On the other hand, I am also massively looking forward to having more Japanese competence.  My fluency is currently shockingly weaksauce.

I've missed this feeling of excitement!

Also, my copy of "Boku to tsundere to Heidegger" came in today.  Aw yee.

5 Centimeters Per Second?

I've yet to watch that, although I've heard that it tugs your heartstrings, if you like romance.

Shizou has the same voice actor as Battler in Umineko and Koizumi in Haruhi.  I thought that was funny because he totally sounds like Battler sometimes.  And then of course Izaya is Hiroshi because Hiroshi is awesome.

Anyway, I think I found where one of your old avatar was from Tellemurius.  I was stumbling through VNs when I found this one.  I knew Gi looked familiar and then I'm like oh man that was Telly's avatar!

I'm on season 2 of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei as well.  RUMBA RUMBA RUMBA

EDIT:

Watched the new Un-Go.  Bones is weird.  So far its been an episodic detective series but episode 2 was still pretty good nonetheless.

So I watched Pokemon yesterday and Pikachu probably reached his most pathetic point ever.

Not only was he defeated by an Umbrella (and it didn't even strike Pikachu) but he used three powerful electric attacks on a FLYING WATER type and the pokemon was perfectly unscathed. (THOUGH Pikachu getting his butt whooped with tackles from a starting starter pokemon was pretty bad too)

Honestly Pokemon... Your one of the only shows I've seen where a character has reverse power ups (Pikachu just keeps getting weaker and weaker).

Congrats, only you and Vector knows where that avatar did came from, i did enjoy that VN it had a very sad tone to it. Not like to Clannad sadness but more of "the world is screwed, whats the point?", i advise people to read it just make sure you can handle the time, took me a week to get to the true ending (save alot too if you don't have the walkthrough to help you). hope more VNs from Liar-soft is translated (last one i tried to read was called Shikkoku no Sharnoth)or i learn japanese soon (pushing it on the latter).

Edit: well apparently during the time i was gone from the internet Skikkoku got a full English fan patch released, welp now i know what im doing this weekend.
