Both Ghost in the Shell and Neon Genesis Evangelion.  Oh, and Earth Girl Arjuna, and Escaflowne... I didn't like any of those shows very much as I watched them, but they all grew on me substantially.

I still don't feel any appreciation for Escaflowne.  :\

In other news, I finished the Ciel route in Tsukihime.  Looks like I'm done with the near side of the moon, which is the first half.  So now I have four out of the nine endings, since I have Arcueid's True and Good endings as well as Ciel's True and Good endings.

Ciel's route was overall better than Arcueid's route I think.  I also think the routes may be in a linear order because I am getting them all from top to bottom on the ending list.
Ciel's Good End was pretty stupid.  It had a romantic comedy charm to it and didn't match Tsukihime or Type-Moon in general well.
Ciel's True End was notably better and probably my favorite ending so far.  Shiki got to speak with his somewhat meta child-self and we got a glorious fake-out.
I still think Tsukihime needs to step up its game though so hopefully the farside of the moon will be great.

Time to rock the far side of the moon.  Watch out Nero, I'm here to kick ass and chew flesh and I'm all out of ass.

So about this new anime from Sunrise.

It's about a guy and a bunch of girls in high school.

Said high school is aboard a flying aircraft carrier, and the protagonist looks smug as fuck thre in the intro. It also doesn't look like it takes itself very seriously, so hopefully it'll be good.

I'm posting this here because whether I watch it or not, I'm going to hear a lot about it on /m/.

hey, can anyone explain me why japanese who sleep outside of a futon in their own homes get colds? like 99% of times? or get the "i might get a cold" thing?
are japanese nights really that cold?
it bugs me, i mean, in each manga, either you sleep at night in a futon, either you get a terrible cough-wrecking high feverish cold which knocks you out.
i mean, even adults get them.
i'm 20, but "colds" don't stop me from doing anything at all. I just sneeze a lot.
so...what's the deal? is it just italian resiliance, japanese weakness or what?
really...to kill the japanese someone should just steal there futons, then, they can sleep even in their houses with central heatings, but they will eventually die of colds...

It's just another standard anime trope theme.

As for why they tend to always get sick. It is because there is a strong belief, even here, that allowing yourself to get cold can make you sick. (That cliche used to be here as well. With characters who got stuck in the rain who got sick the next day)

As for "Why does the cold make them that sick" it isn't because colds are suddenly weak. It is because the obvious Flu they have is being called a "Cold".

Plus, it's about making it obvious to the readers that in fact, the character has a cold. If they had a very weak cold of the kind where they sneeze a little, and maybe have some chicken soup at night, it would be a bit pointless. There would be no real issue with the cold, nothing to write about.

It would be pretty funny if someone had a slight cold and yet the anime treats it like they have some sort of fatal standard anime illness (but not in overly dramatic terms with characters crying)

Lion is Saber... well, I guess that kindof makes sense.  Also it seems that everyone ever has been in Hetalia.

Man, I know this isn't the normal criticism, but Erika's voice just isn't annoying enough.  I mean, I guess that's her being ominous rather than outright trolling, but I still expect a constant condescending tone.

So I watched the first episode of this Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere anime. It looks promising, I guess. Plenty of variety in the character designs of the males, which I liked, but the girls were all the goddamn same compared to the guys, which I didn't like. Sure, there were some differences, but they all had the dreaded sameface.

I haven't formed an opinion on the MC yet, but I did laugh at his introductory scene, which is a plus. He's not what you'd call 'generic' either.

Satsuki is both really lucky and unlucky, isn't she? On one hand, she became a vampire in a day, rather than spending years shambling around as one of the Dead, and according to Tvtropes, she's also very blood-efficient(200cc a week) and has a fucking reality marble that pretty much cancels all magic nearby. On the other hand, she's been turned into a vampire and didn't get the route she was supposed to get.

Did I spoil any of that for you? Well, I did warn you, didn't I? TSOOKIHIMAY SPOYLAHS.
