The manga is infinitely better (assuming you watched the anime as you said "show"). If I understand correctly, it's pretty much the same story, just without the outrageous amounts of fanservice ALL THE TIME. I actually can't watch it because every 4 seconds is a panty shot, there's no content. The manga actually has meaning and explores the setting

Because both contained their heavy doses of fanservice (In Hayate... it being Hayate in drag... constantly)

Specifically Rosario+Vampire Capu II anime. It's just Season 2.

Got Arcueid's True End in Tsukihime.  That was weird.  Guess I'll start from the beginning and have everything different magically happen like wait a minute

Kuzuki is a future Shiki dammit!  They look the same, both wear glasses and have green hair.  Both are killers, it just makes sense.  Damn.

Did anyone else watch Steins;Gate?
One of best titles out of 150 I've completed, 10/10. After-credits scene at end of ep. 22 was damn great. Some great characters like Tutturu~ and Ferris-nya-nya~, non-annoying tsundere, and main character with uncommon traits and personality.

Yeah Steins;Gate was one of my favorites this year, along with Kaiji S2 and soon-to-be Fate/zero (I'm calling it now I've read enough to know it's awesome).  I've already got most of the source material down too besides the Steins;Gate VN.  I'm already caught up in the Kaiji manga for english scanlations and I'm probably a 1/3 through volume 2 in Fate/zero.  I'd play S;G too but TOO MUCH MAN

Also I think I found a solution to Ever17 so right now my VNs are Tsukihime (so many damn routes), Ever17 (oh gog my brain), and probably Fate/hollow ataraxia eventually.

Also I read like 3 volumes of Ubel Blatt last night I couldn't stop.  Man it was great.  On volume 9 now or something ridiculous.  I'll continue Gunslinger Girl with that damn Pinocchio after I catch up with UB.

You never know what to expect from these Japanese. Sometimes they manage to completely fail even when its impossible.

Recently finished Melody of Oblivion - nice show, but such mediocre, illogical and unsatisfying ending. Or completely ruined Umineko TV even due to awesome source material.

Ahh yes disapointing endings. How we meet eachother so often.

It is almost like the ability to create a satisfying ending is an ENTIRELY seperate skill from making a series or single book/game.

I've already seen the WORST "Everyone wins" ending in Anime... probably ever. (and "Everyone wins" is my favorite kind of ending)

Though at this point I think most animes have a disapointing/underwhelming ending (I may be a bit biased compared that I watched a LOT of bad animes), so it is the good/satisfying endings that are more rare and precious.

Tsukhime's second route seems to be finally changing as well.  Watch the butterfly effect in action!  The order of routes might be linear like F/sn I'll have to check later.

Watched the Fate/zero OP.  Everything is perfect.  Commie's sub is like 10bit or something so it looks really ugly.  I'm gonna wait for better subs and then I'm gonna annihilate this.

Holy shit, what a first episode of Fate/Zero. It's 47 minutes, by the way.

About 10bit, just update your codecs. You'll need to, every group worth their shit is switching this season. It allows better quality for lower file sizes, hence why a well animated 47 minute, 720p episode is only 320MB.

The other groups doing it are UTW and Doki. UTW are switching to 10bit as well this season, and are using edited NicoNico subs just like Commie. Doki are sticking to 8bit for TV episodes, but are using their own translations. Doki's translators aren't the best, to say the least.

Just installing the latest MPC-HC won't work, it's internal H264 decoder still doesn't know what it's doing when it comes to Hi10P.

There are a variety of guides, for the best quality you'd probably want this (although it is far more stressing on the GPU). Alternatively just uninstall whatever you have and install the latest CCCP.

That's exactly what I did July 30th.  I remember hearing about it the day it happened.  Let me try again I guess. :P  Yeah I don't want anything too GPU intensive either.

Yeah it really is 48 minutes.  That's pretty awesome.  Time to go missing for an hour.  Now to see how nicely it adapts the light novels.
