For what its worth, its actually possible to do that assuming that the frequencies perfectly match (or one is calibrated to the other), and if the volume is the same as well, resulting in the sound cancelling out in the middle.

I was gonna mention Now and Then, as it's probably my favorite anime, but I thought his unending idealism was shown as a positive trait and not a flaw. Shu doesn't have any big flaws besides being incredibly naive, stupid, and in the wrong genre.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

In the middle?  Yes.

On the other hand, in the context of this manga we're talking about when the sound radiowaves reach the users of this radar.  The idea is that you can detect another person if your radio wave hits their transmitter or if their radio wave hits yours, and the cancellation of the wave in the middle wouldn't stop either of these two things happening.  As far as I can tell, this manga seems to be suggesting the waves just sortof crash into and block each other.

It may be shown as a positive trait, but it ends up being quite the flaw in the world he's stuck in.

There comes a time when you must take off the soft, furry slippers of a boy and put on the shoes of a man.
Unless of course they don't fit properly and your feet blister up like bubble wrap.
Oh ho ho, but don't try to return the shoes, because they won't take them back once you've worn them.
Especially if that fat pig Tony is at the desk.

Saying radar waves use sound is a forgivable mistake, using a fundamentally broken view of waves to have strategies that wouldn't work isn't

I remember in the new Bayblade one of the characters has a broken ability to attack other blades with such powerful soundwaves it actually manages to liquify solid objects and pushes other blades away.

To defend against this every single character who has defeated him... uses an "Air shield" which is basically a forcefield with no air on the inside.

I'll just ignore that
A) The soundwaves would still vibrate the shield itself
and
B) the soundwaves could travel through the arena itself

Oh, so you're not gonna take our plothook?  Fine, we'll have you automatically make several bad decisions and get you killed.  You love walking around without your bodyguard at night, right?".

Yep, I've seen those as well. "What was that? you killed our obvious villain early in the game? well... TIMEWARP!"

Are Anime Main characters ever TRUELY losers with genuin flaws rather then transitory flaws?

Perhaps Lelouche from CG? He's got a few flaws (like being completely physically inept and not a very good pilot). The series itself often has him suffering some defeat and then he has to try his best to recover from it or use it to the best of his ability.

Today, I was doing a questline in WoW (don't ask why I play WoW, I have no good answer). The first quest was named "Do the Imp-Possible." Hehe, clever, except not, I thought.

The next one was titled "See the Invisible."

Well now that's just odd, I thought. It almost sounds like... nah, must just be quoting some random saying.

Then comes the next quest, "Touch the Untouchable." I begin to feel anxious. Could it be...? No. Impossible. This is Warcraft.

Then comes the final quest in the line, "Break the Unbreakable." OK, they're definitely quoting something, but it can't be THAT, can it?

Then as I'm leaving the base, there's a random NPC who's just standing there with an exclamation point over her head. I click it, and the quest is "Fight the Power".

 :o

Also cracking down and watching Lucky Star like my friend wanted me to. Episode 5 so far.

I have to admit it was really amusing when Lelouch had to do anything physically demanding. Was nice to see a main character who isn't always set to GODMODE-AT-EVERYTHING-FOREVER.

I wouldn't call him a "loser", but he did have his fair share of downfalls and shortcomings.

The closest he has ever been to becoming a full on loser was when he challenged Hayate the Combat Butler to a butler battle.

Daisuke Namikawa
Gyakkyō Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku-hen as Ichijou
Fate/zero as Waver Velvet

Hell yeah.  That's so awesome.

Also, season 2 of Kaiji was great.  I've already started part 3 of the manga.

To be truthful what sort of killed Hayate Combat Butler for me and my entire drive to finish the second seasons was

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That and it became obvious it was a "Harem" anime. In that "The main character will have tons of love interests whom none can be truely satisfied" with a lot of characters whos relationship with the main character actually became hard to watch.

I remember when I saw the name Rosario+Vampire and went, "Oh cool, a show about vampires. Let's see if it's any good."
Did not get what I expected.

The manga is infinitely better (assuming you watched the anime as you said "show"). If I understand correctly, it's pretty much the same story, just without the outrageous amounts of fanservice ALL THE TIME. I actually can't watch it because every 4 seconds is a panty shot, there's no content. The manga actually has meaning and explores the setting.

My goodness... Which anime? Which?

Because both contained their heavy doses of fanservice (In Hayate... it being Hayate in drag... constantly)

I'm assuming Rosario+Vampire as that was the one being talking about in the last quote in the post we are now referring to.
