On the otherhand, I just finished watching Pumpkin Scissors and thought it was a lot of fun.    I wish there was a second season.

Dubbed or subbed? I watched a few episodes of it dubbed on Hulu and the voice acting was so hilarious that I had to stop. Not bad-hilarious, just ridiculously over the top.

I just finished re-reading that. It was fantastic, even though I knew what the ending was going to be this time around.

I usually call it Hoshi no Samidare but nobody ever responds to that, hoho.

Also, 2/10 was relatively boring besides Shinji Matou's interlude scene.  On 2/11 now.

The fact that the whole thing was a structured game was really, really blegh to me. It's like, it wasn't a real battle or war or anything, it was just wizards dicking around with the fate of the world. Those horrifyingly strong golems? Not soldiers or warriors or even monsters, just chess pieces. Limited number, required order of strength, etc. Bleeeegghhhhh.

Also, the deaths were too... ordered. Killing off that many main characters is somewhat unusual, but it was more of a "this is the heroic sacrifice guy" and much, much less "this is so dangerous that sometimes even the best warriors are slain in service."

Dubbed.  The voice acting gets even more hillarious when they dub the:

- Homeless friends of the Corporal Oland
- Nobles at a party
