Just finish chapter 40 of Tower of God, aww yeah.  Chapter 60 just came out today too, I love this series man.  Also finished volume 3 of TWGOK which was good, had my favorite arc yet.  I don't have enough time anymore to write Fate/stay night comments, let alone actually play the game.  So when I start again don't expect too much as I finish Heaven's Feel.

The leading theory on this is, I think, that the Lifemaker is some sort of body-hopping consciousness, who jumped into Nagi when Nagi defeated him. Furthermore, he is not Evangeline's biological father, but is the one who made her a vampire. As for why, I have no idea, maybe it was an experiment.

Frankly I don't understand when some people, who arn't just opposed to animation as a whole, can "not like anime" given that it isn't even a genre or even technically a style of animation (though the term is evolving and no longer means animation from Japan/Asia).

I mean, I don't like bad anime either... or most... Heck Vangard was HORRIBLE but I thought its blatant advertisement was hillarious.

You just need to find the right one... through the mountain of overproduced crud.

Well, in one case I know, they use it to refer to the art style. Which they don't like. Specifically, the big eyed bit. Most of the eyes in the various anime styles just look wrong to them. Some exceptions from early on, though. Like Robotech.

So yeah, sometimes it's less the "because it's anime" (though that is a running joke for several people like the one I'm talking about) as much as it is "because it looks hideous". To them. They might dislike some of the general conventions associated with anime, but I don't think they watch enough to actually dislike that. Because, again, hideous eyes.

Dude, I posted about Fate/stay night for like a month before anybody made a measurable response.  I posted about Umineko for about a month and almost nobody responded (besides you and Acanthus hehehe).  I posted about Higurashi for a month and a few people responded.

It's not your fault it's just what people know.  They aren't going to respond to you and try to talk about something they have no idea/interest about.  Heck, I've been mentioning Tower of God for a while now and nobody has responded to it!

I started watching FLCL.  So far I don't like it. 

In fact, I've seen three episodes and I don't even know what is going on.   


On the otherhand, I just finished watching Pumpkin Scissors and thought it was a lot of fun.    I wish there was a second season.

I don't think you know what is going on at all for most of the series, I never finished though, so maybe it gets clear at the end.

When you have watched all episodes, you will still not even know what is going on. I mean, things sorta get an explanation that doesn't make sense. And if you pay attention, it seems pretty clear that the person telling "the way things are" is wrong based on some of the other dialog.

There is also a manga, although I hear it is much more depressing than the anime itself.

EDIT: Also, did you know that the entire soundtrack for FLCL was done by one band, the Pillows? I have the complete soundtrack. It's the best Engrish listening music.
