INTRUDING ISSEI

Current Events
Very short day.  Very similar to the previous day with a few differences.  During lunch I went out and spoke to Ilya again except I went to the park to meet her anyway.  We spoke more again and Shirou tried to explain to her some stuff but it didn't really work and Ilya ran off.
When I got home I sparred with Saber more and then suddenly BUZZ BUZZ somebody starts buzzing the door bell, Issei is buzzing the door bell.  Hehe, now this scene caught me by surprise.  I really like Issei for some reason so him showing up was a pleasant surprise.  The reason for coming over, of course, was because he was worried about his friend he knew would never skip school unless he was really sick.  He even brought a bag full of apples and stuff.  Good friend best friend.
Issei spots Saber as well since Shirou wanted to be careful.  Anyway, Issei is usually reserved with strangers but he has no problem opening up around Saber, which shocks Shirou.  As Issei is leaving back home after a skipped over discussion he says that even an amateur monk could tell Saber is a pure person so he has no reason to be worried at all.  Which is like, the complete opposite of Tohsaka, hohoho.
Afterwards dinner happens and Tohsaka comes home with a bloody hand and swollen fingers.  Turns out she clocked Shinji in the face during school because of some comment he said.  Not good at all but whatever, I hope that doesn't bite us in the butt.
During dinner Saber gets a lion doll from Fuji-Nee and we learn a tiny tiny bit of Saber's past.
After dinner when Fuji-Nee leaves Shirou does some magic practice with Tohsaka, which actually makes process.  Shirou was rebuilding his magic circuit every single time he tried to do magic instead of just using the same magic circuit to switch on and off in his body.  After learning that he's been getting better but he still fails most of his magic.  Breaking lamps and cracking wood.
Then late at night Shirou speaks with Archer again which is pretty much the same as last night.  Some serious shit is probably going to happen tomorrow.

Hey guys, how's everything going. I haven't watched anything new in the last couple weeks.

I'd like to say though, the sheer concept of a Harry Potter anime is intriguing. I enjoyed some of the earlier movies, but simply couldn't get into the books, and the later movies are wildly confusing with me not knowing alot of the backstory. Though I presupposed that even not knowing the context, alot of the plot seemed shamelessly driven with hyperbolic situations, a general disconnect from practical thought ran rampant throughout the those parts of the continuity that I've watched, and the entire story being captained by such scrawny, awkward children wrung out my willing suspension of disbelief, and so I found the later installments to be distasteful.

Though, if there were an anime, I'd probably watch it. That image is simply that tantalizing.

In other news, Nichijou is my new favorite anime. If you ever watched Lucky Star, and liked it even a little, watch Nichijou. It is HILARIOUS, awesome, and random all at the same time.

If you don't believe me, simply watch this: Nichijou - THREE SECOND RULE!

I don't think I shall be sad ever again until I run out of episodes.

No mecha-city stupidity, the series is still not over, Asura is still chillin' and making people insane, Medusa is a much more major character (so is Chrona), there are some characters and arcs not present in the anime, lots of violence, swearing, character death, etc. IMO, it's much more serious and enjoyable. Plus, I can't hear Black Star.

In other news, Nichijou is my new favorite anime. If you ever watched Lucky Star, and liked it even a little, watch Nichijou.

I find it to be a lot more similar to Azumanga Daioh. Not every section gets a laugh from me, but it's still funnier than most comedy anime, and it's sufficiently wierd enough to be interesting anyway if you disregard the humour. The section with Mio and the policeman in one of the latest episodes was great.

Also, Sunrise is going to start an adaption of Horizon on the Middle of Nowhere
in the Fall.  I have no idea how this will goo ahhh here's a trailer thing.  I have some love of the protagonist's smile for some reason.

Rumour has it that it's going to be 4cour, between 48 and 52 episodes. It's the first time in a while that i've heard of something other than Precure and it's various imitators being so long.

Just watched ep1 of Strike Witches. Main issue - Why nobody's invented pants in this universe? Default panty-shots in every scene is a bit off putting to say the least. A skirt or something would have been sexier.
