I've never seen any anime, Vector suggested I might do so, what shall I watch?

Although it hasn't been updated since 2008, it still works even if it is missing some of the greats of the last few years. If you watch a few of those, you'll probably find something to your liking and be able to develop your own taste. I don't like most of that chart, for example.

Rozen Maiden and Death Note are mysteries???

Not all mysteries hide the perpetrator in an attempt to get the viewer/reader to try to figure it out. It's not uncommon for a mystery to tell you straight out what the situation is, so you fully appreciate how people umble trying to solve it.

I guess that works for Death Note (I'd still regard it as more of a supernatural crime drama though) but I'm really not sure about Rozen Maiden in that regard.

I learned from Summer Wars that if you math too hard, you start bleeding out your nose. Didn't find it too bad, but when we watched it, most of the entertainment value came from laughing at how bad many parts of the plot were.

EDIT:
Since I finished Neon Genesis Evangelion (so far) and Shin Angyo Onshi I begun my adventure of Fate/stay night.  I'm nearing the end of the real 2/2 and not the prologue 2/2.  After that I have no idea where the game will go.

In any case, it's pretty good so far.  There's nothing bad about the game and I've enjoyed some parts.  We'll see where we go from there.

Shirou isn't a bad main character at all.  I like his will to save people but still stay in control and not doing anything stupid to his own ability.  He just wants to be a super hero man.
Issei is really cool for some reason.  I never never never ever have seen a Class President who was actually a nice guy, and he even has glasses!  The fact that he's not super conceited and really friendly with Shirou is a huge plus for me, pretty much Shirou's main friend.
Sohtaka was the narrator for the prologue and she's fine.  I don't really have any problems with her so far and she is looking to be the female lead too.
Sakura or whatever her name is, is fine too.  Although she can be too passive and quiet sometimes.  And she's definitely got a crush on Shirou no matter what anybody says.  Why else would she hang out with him so much?
Shinji, Shinji is an asshole.  At first I thought he was Shirou's kinda jerk-y friend  but he's a real big jerk for real.  When I heard that he's abusing (as in, beating) his sister Sakura I was like what?!  I can't believe Shirou still tries to say this is his friend.  I think we need some issues resolved here.
And then we have all the other classmates, who I don't really have comments on.
The two teachers are fine.  One is playfully silly and the other is stone cold serious, so it works out.  Taiga looks after Shirou a lot too, which is nice of her, even if she acts really really really immature.

Then we have the three servants so far.
Archer is fine.  He's a sarcastic jerk sometimes but he's very loyal when he respects someone, like Sohtaka.
Lancer is an okay antagonist right now, pretty much the only one shown so far.  He's ruthless and brutal with a little wit at the end.  He may act too typical sometimes though.  And it's obvious he isn't loyal to his Master, who he calls a coward multiple times, even if I haven't seem them yet.
And lastly and most recently introduced, Saber.  I've actually heard of her name before just from cultural osmosis, but she was only really formally introduced where I am now, which would be the Saber vs. Lancer fight at Shirou's house.

Anyway, besides that one no-name lady that said Shirou was going to die the first day I can't think of anybody worth commenting on.  So far, so good anyway.

Also, the art quality between a 07th Expansion game and a Type-Moon game is vast.  While 07th Expansion only had like two custom art panels through all of the games Type-Moon has a crap ton and I'm not even that far yet.  Although I like 07th Expanion's BGM better so far.

I'm seconding the AKIRA and TGWLTT movies. They are both good, in my opinion.
If you like mindscrew, I suggest Sky Crawlers. I understand the plot (I think), but that's only because I'm an obsessive weirdo (Maybe).
Also, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

If you haven't already, you should watch Miyazaki's movies (Spirited Away, Nausicaa, Howl's Moving Castle, and a few other good ones)....except Ponyo. Skip Ponyo. Or save it for last or something.

Most of them were released in America, with dubs, and got tons of awards. I'd definitely introduce them to anyone who hasn't watched anime and wants to be introduced to it, for all ages. (Showed it when family was over once, a few years ago, with people from 4-34, they all loved it.)
