Watched a short clip on Lucky Star.

Oh wow, cute little girls that aren't killing machines/victims of larger plans/just plain victims.

Still no mention of Steins;Gate?

Dammit, guys! Am I the only MADDO SCIENTIST here?
I've been meaning to just to shut you up, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Also been poking at Vinland Saga, if that helps. Can certainly see the Berserk-ness, but I'm not far enough along to tell if it's good.

Neat characterization, sexually awkward robot designs, etc.
Cue cockpit puns.
Great. Now I've got something else I need to see.

I know, totally pointless. :P

No, I'm just waiting for the heartless bastard to pop out and troll the ever living fuck out of them, but thankfully(?) it's not happening.

I tried watching Lucky Star before, after about twenty episodes over three days my brain melted and I haven't the courage to go and finish it.
Same thing happened with K-On!.

Just watched Shiki episode 20.5, a bonus OVA from the bluray. It was fantastic, like the rest of the show. I really miss it, it was my favorite story based show of 2010. The blurays look fantastic too, if you can get around the weird character designs for a show of it's caliber.

As for Lucky Star, as an enormous wild raging faggot whose favorite anime are all parodies, comedies or especially cute girls doing cute things, I thought it was fairly decent but nothing special. Pani Poni and SZS do parodies better, while Genshiken explores otaku culture much, much better. The girls were really cute, though, yet not as cute as others. All of this is entirely opinion, however.

Taking a break from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni finally and decided to do some 20th Century Boys.  Went through volume 6 and 7 today, boy has it really changed from what I thought it would be.  Naoki Urasawa can keep a plot interesting no matter what.  Detective Chouno is the best, all the characters are the best.

I finished Macross, and I have to say I'm quite pleased with it. Now I can atleast say I am somewhat more cultured, and what certain other series harken back to from time to time.

I was somewhat let down by how the show ramps down the audacity of it's fights at a certain point, and the ending was something of a silly romance, but it was satisfying nonetheless in how spectacular the last antagonists are defeated.

My current trend of Detective shows are that they go absolutely nowhere. Maybe maybe MAYBE!

20th Century Boys has almost absolutely nothing to do with being a Detective Show, there just happens to be a few detectives in it sometimes.  Monster had a few as well.  20th Century Boys is like a huge freakin' Sci-fi/Mystery adventure.  I read volume 8, 9, and half of 10 and I don't want to stop reading.

Fate/Stay Night was a decent anime.
Nice animation budget upgrade for the last episode  :D

Time to watch the movie, I guess.

My roomie has the Fate/Stay Night Visual Novel just on his computer, and I tried playing it but I just can't get into it, and the writing makes me cringe. Is this worth further investigation?

I am suddenly reminded of Rurouni Kenshin, where the animation for everything is kinda sub-par, but there is a single lone episode at the 30-ish mark where the animation quality jets into the stratosphere for no discernible reason. And then continues normally afterwards.

Probably not.
The theme was kinda interesting and I didn't have anything better to watch at that point.
And after I've reached episode 10 in an anime, without wanting to tear my eyeballs out, then I might as well finish it.
It was average in my opinion.

Animation: Good
Characters:  Likeable but not especially deep (except the MC, he was annoying at times)
Pacing: Ok
Music: Not especially memorable or outstanding(except for the second opening)
Story: Not very suprising, but interesting enough to keep me watching, since I wanted to see a series about magic

I was browsing around on Hulu last night and saw that they had 'The Castle of Cagliostro' available, so I watched it. It was pretty good. A little heavier on the wacky antics than is my taste, but they were very well done wacky antics.
