I must have described Maze poorly, since it's not a depressing show at all. Even though the ending is a lose-lose scenario, it's still pretty upbeat since it's what the protagonists are choosing to do, so that they can live the way they want to live and they're more than happy to combat the possible consequences. Kind've uplifting actually.

Ugh now I am starting to remember why I dislike short series.

There is never time to actually set up a plot a lot of the time.

I am on episode 10 of 13 and I am sure that there won't be any real plots jumping up.
