I saw an odd case of Japanese culture.

This girl wanted to be a detective but what she also wanted was to be married and have a family as well.

Oddly enough most of the characters took this as a contradiction. (When they tried to picture it, she was carrying her children onto cases)

Maybe there is something about being a Detective I just don't know.

If crime shows are to be believed, being a detective is full-time job that keeps you away from any sort of family matter.

Heh, I like how the mentions of Madoka Magica are slowly trickling in.

Indeed, it is a happy and heartwarming tale. The scriptwriter said so himself. "I will do my best to deliver a heartwarming, happy story to our viewers!"

Surely we B12ers can all do with some gentle heartwarming.

Eh, it's not so long ago that people in the west would've had the exact same attitude.  I think of it as a kindof time displacement...

I'm looking for a new anime series to follow, any suggestions?

I have watched Death Note, Full metal Alchemist and Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood (which I prefer to the other one), and I'm still following Naruto Shippuuden and Bleach. I have watched One Piece but the flashbacks and fillers make me really pissed off, and I haven't watched it in a while. (Same thing with Naruto, too fucking many fillers. I'm still following the manga, but I'll look into the anime again after the filler season ends..)

Also some Studio Ghibli movies seen:

And I've liked all of those.

I've seen other movies (which I can't remember) and tried following some other animes, but I just haven't caught up to them.
If you need more info I most likely can give some.

Oh, i ncase you need to know, Death Note was awesome as was FMA:Brotherhood. Bleach & Naruto - They're okay, but since they're long series, they're going to get milked for money and thus they get stretched unnecessary long (flashbacks, filler episodes, repeating things in battles etc.)
