Yeah, I almost always miss him, but I'm really proud of myself when I do catch him.

He has hearts for nipples.

I hear a lot of references about pandas, but never heard of Pandaman.  I'm horribly sheltered.  I even went through public school 100% of the way and most people think I went through home schooling when they meet me.

Pandaman is in that bread making anime I watched too... AS A CHARACTER!!!

He competes Three times onscreen (Four if you count winning that mass contest... but I don't). Two times as Pandaman.

Too bad the anime reeks too much for anyone here to watch all the way through.

There's also another pandaman later on in One Piece, but he's actually real this time.

I am confused, as in he is really a Panda?

I finally got around to watching the live action adaptation of Blood: The Last Vampire. And well, I wouldn't really call it an adaptation. It really only shares the basic premise and two scenes with the original. And those two scenes are the original's opening and climax. Otherwise it's more of an alternate interpretation. But they basically did everything they could to make it as generic an action movie as possible.

Evil head-exploding demon sexy lady antagonist? Check.

Scene where a town gets heavily depopulated by main character? Check.

Inept chubby nurse replaced with sexy young girl? Check.

It seemed like it was missing everything that made the original so good. There wasn't an atmosphere. There wasn't any tension. And the fight scenes were over-the-top and paradoxicallly, boring. Especially the aforementioned depopulation scene, which just seemed to drag on and on.

I appreciate that it wasn't a direct adapation, but it would have been nice if they had done something more with their interpretation than tack on some generic hero's journey ultimate evil plot.

Definitely enjoy it's philosophical aspects as well that makes the viewers think & wonder themselves of the things Kino & Hermes see in their journeys.

Blood: The Last Vampire adaptation
It couldn't possibly be any worse than the serialized version. Blood+ was it called?

Anyway, have you actually ever seen a good(meaning, really good, recommendable on it's own merits and not because it's more of the same stuff that you used to love) Live Action adaptation of any anime at all?

I've never watched the Deathnote Anime (I will! It's on my list!), but I've watched the Live-action films. They were pretty entertaining.

Usagi Drop is getting a live action adaptation that I have high hopes for and the Grave of the Fireflies adaptation was good, but that was based on the novel I think. Other than that, no, not really.

And yeah, it was way better than Blood+ from what little I've seen of that.

Oh my god Kino's Journey looks beautiful.
Oh yes.

I really need to start watching that.

I was supposed to after I finished Xam'd, but dear god Xam'd...
