Not sure which one though, since there appears to be alot of different continuities and shoot-offs.

That guy does bear some passing resemblance to Ryoma, but it's really just the Nagaiburns. I don't think any of his incarnations had those eye-lines or whatever they are. Oddly enough, the guy to the right has a helmet that resembles Steel Jeeg's head, while the one on the left looks like Yurika.

I'm gonna go do some research to see if that is indeed Getter Robo, or some completely different show.

EDIT: Ah, found it! It's from Kotetsushin(Steel God) Jeeg, a sequel to Kotetsu(Steel) Jeeg. That's why the helmet looked like that.

EDIT2: Oh yeah, I remember a few thread on /m/ about this show. Apparently it's a bit... Over the top, you might say.

Bah, I really have to finish DN at some point.  I've had theories as to how it ended since... well, pretty much since it began, and I own the entire damned manga series in Japanese ;_;

The ending in both is the same with... one exception.  Quite an interesting exception, though.

Oh, wait, and the manga has an extra little bit on the end.

L apparently never had any kind of friendship with Light.  He was just trying to appeal to his better nature and avoid being killed.

I mean, it does make sense, but... it just seems to lessen the story somehow.

I don't remember telling you this, since I never read the manga. Must've been Vector, since I remember offhand about her saying something about manga or something.
