The G-8 filler? By filler standards, it's actually pretty good, but you could still skip it and nothing of value is lost.

The CP9 arcs are shortly after that, canon, and my favourite stuff thus far.

As in, I'm 23 right now, and I expect One Piece to continue for another hundred years because this sort of awesome doesn't die.

If I remember correctly, when Oda hit Chapter 600 of One Piece he said that the story was "about half over".  So I'm guessing if the anime adapts everything we'll have almost 1,000 episodes (considering filler), right?

Anyway, on episode 50 of Monster now.  So emotional man.

Some are good, some are bad... but almost all of them waste your time.

Basicly, though some anime just have filler that is all bad, like Naruto >.>. I gotta watch One Piece, I've heard alot about it, and It seems cool, but I've seen like 5 episodes, and that's all becouse there was nothing else on TV and the horrible dub was on cartoonnetwork.

If you're going to watched dub watch the FUNimation one because Zoro's voice is PASSED DOWN FOR GENERATIONS.

The only 4kids dub one I like is Sanji's, and that's only because it's ridiculously bad.  Unfortunately, the dub Sanji never goes NAMI SWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN

I usualy watch Sub, for several reasons that I'd rather not start ranting about right now, but I watched the dub becouse as I said, nothing else on. I do want to watch the Sub though.

Also, Zoro is voiced by Sparkleman? Are you kidding me? That is both awesome and stupid at the same time.

So.  One Piece discussion time.  Finished Skypiea, plan to skip the G-8 filler and jump straight to episode 207 tomorrow.

Anyway-

Padding sucks hard.  Arabasta had 39 episodes, while the manga was 63 chapters.  On average each episode adapted about 1.6 of a chapter, which is much poorer than usual.  The Skypiea arc was 43 episodes with 66 chapters in the manga.  That's 1.5 on average for each episode.  The East Blue saga had like 5 chapters adapted each episode.  In the Arabasta and Skypiea sagas we are treated to just a complete stall.  Now I'm not saying the story isn't good.  I enjoyed what happened as it occurred in ultra slow motion, it probably would have been better to just read the damn manga for these arcs or something.

Hopefully the CP9 sage is better in terms of this.  Because otherwise One Piece is a really good show, just a pain to spend two hours of what could be said in thirty minutes.
