As far as I can tell, it generally gets used when people are quickly moving through an area and they need to generate the background.  Or when there's something so monstrously huge they just don't want to animate it.

Especially since being a Saiyan is only an advantage in a world where aliens attempt to kill you every other week.

Then again planet Saiyan was all Saiyan and it was blown up... so perhaps no son at all tops it as well.

Made a bit more progress with a couple shows. Finished Spice & Wolf season 2, and am halfway through Inuyasha: The Final Act. Got a bunch more shows I can watch through. Just kinda split on some shows to watch or re-watch.

I feel I'm spreading myself too thin.  I'm simultaneously watching Fullmetal Alchemist (original one), Code Geass R1, Monster, and now I want to check out Fairy Tail.  Damn.

I'd say wait on Fairy Tale, sure I only saw one episode and EVERYTHING was totally out of context, but it didn't exactly make me go "man! I so want to watch everything before this episode!"

Just did a marathon of the remaining episodes of Inuyasha: The Final Act. Whew, finally, some closure.

Overall, it was decent, and a half-decent climax. Maybe doesn't rank as high as some of the other 100+ episode shows did, but it was still pretty good all things considered.
