I always thought it was funny all young boys are voiced by old woman, I can hardly even tell.

Not really unique to anime.  It's probably difficult to take a clear voice sample from a child anyway.

The problem is more that kids are very hard to work with and require a lot of paperwork.

Actually, if you read the manga (and see the little character bios and things, i think) and/or see brotherhood (i think) you find that Automail is pretty conny. First up it's bloody expensive and needs constand maintenance.

Blah.

But the really bad part is, it's basically only bolted onto your shoulder, so in one part when Ed was holding up a girl with automail arms and legs from falling to her certain doom, her shoulderblade started to pull away from the arm, with much sucking and gruesomeness.

Plus, personally I'd think that shit would itch or something.

Well it is hardly a cast so you can treat it with aloe or whatever you use for itches.

Well Gungrave gets good only after the first few episodes when shit starts to complicate a bit more, and after you get halfway trough it you really don't care much for what the hell was going in the first episode and personally the last few episodes were not all that great compared to the rest, but the ending is pretty awesome, quite unexpected and quite a big move on his behalf.

On FMA, what i hate about that show is the last 15 episodes, the show is pretty awesome up until that point, then it just starts to climb up, and it doesn't stop, it just keeps ramping up the awesome and badass, and then BAM, it's over, and you are left with this hole and extra 20 minutes a week, i developed a damn reflex to chec Animetake every Sunday evening to see if a new episode was out.
