I am a bit surprised they havn't gone and made a Vocaloid anime yet

I mean they have a vocaloid manga.

Ohh GAWD why does that remind me of the time in Hayate The Combat Butler... the Brittany anime...

Anyone here really dislike it when a anime drops a WHOOPIN ton of plots between the first and second season?

Hayate Combat Butler did it but the most disapointing anime that did so to me would be Oh my Goddess who drops all the plots from the first season that could have ended on a cliff hanger.

Funnily enough, the avatar I'd use is an auto-spoiler too.

Out of curiousity, what is the most photorealistic anime? As in, highest level of animation

I don't think there is one.  The closest thing you get to that is "hair colours make sense".

I wouldn't be able to answer, as my reference pool is very small, and only one anime that was released post-2008, so it obviously has a big advantage.

This being Homestuck, I'm not sure whether that's post-scratch Rose or Vriska with a wig.

It'd probably end up looking something like Final Fantasy.

I SO want to jokingly suggest Ganketsuou.

But that'd be mean. It's a good show, but very trippy as far as animation is concerned.

Photorealism to me isn't the highest form of animation as there are ways to get around it

I've seen a VERY VERY detailed animation once... It scared me! and it was only two old people eating.

I guess you can't really animate much more than that with that level of detail...

Highest level of animation? Moribito did pretty well there, but you'd have to look at the Miyazaki films or something like Final Fantasy: Spirits Within.
However, are you asking for straight-up art animation, blocking out things like CG?

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was awesome if you want realistic animation.
