There's a second season (12 episodes) + 4 OVAs (one of which has yet to be released). I don't know if it's finished per se, but a third season has yet to be announced.

The OVAs take place between the first and second seasons so a sequel seems kind of doubtful. It could happen, though.

The thing about Mnemosyne is, it's not just "person gets blow up, change focus to something else". Someone gets killed and then it shows in loving detail what happened to them.

I'm watching bokurano right now, and so far its really good, in an intelligent, dark way. Much more flowing than NGE

Chiza/Sensei relationship could have been insanely creepy if they made him totally normal, and not hurt her at all. Instead they went for the full out internet pedophile and made him too extreme to be an creepy. Then the sister gets in on it and makes it just overkill...
