The only thing I don't like about FMA:B is that they exclude the whole Ishbal Massacre flashback. I know it was for a good reason (to avoid making the show too long), but man, I would've loved to see that.

You guys who watch FMA:B should read the Ishbal Massacre flashback online. It's fuckin' awesome.

(Not until that part comes up on TV, i mean.)

 Toony just had me watch FMA:B episode 19. Vindication for episode 18, although the dude who gave the speech didn't end up being the badass for some reason. Hell, he didn't even do anything. And I am digging how subtle they are being about that relationship.

Yes... and no.

It follows the original manga storyline, since the 2003 anime diverted pretty early on since they didn't want to wait 7 years.

Hi!

Usually, I am opposed to fan service. Most of the time, I ignore it, but if it gets really obnoxious (like what friends of mine have called "boobie-reload" in an anime I don't care to watch anyway), it can really spoil the fun.

However, I have to admit that the fan service of the main "character" in Kirameki Project really hit a note with me. Mind you, I am talking about THE main "character" and not that brat pretending to be a super-heroine. In my defense I can only say that "she" is just my kind of girl, has the right personality. And the anime is a good parody of a genre I don't like with a lot of very funny references to one of its classics. And besides being a funny parody, it also has some serious aspects concerning family life (nothing revolutionary, but the standard thing between parents and children, but still... I like it).

So, despite the fan service (and the wanna-be super heroine can be quite annoying), Kirameki Project scores quite high with me (although my perception is probably a tad biased because of "her").
