I wasn't talking about how he doesn't show others, he doesn't even call his Zanpakto by its real name, because he thinks it isn't "Beautiful"

Actually it'st twofold; he doesn't want the others in Zaraki's squad to know that his Zanpakutou is Kidou based, because then he'd get ridiculed as Kidou is seen as weak. This, in turn, feeds his own arrogance and makes him despise his Zanpakutou because of how perfectly it matches him.

Ah right the name, and by not calling it by name it doesn't release its full power. I'm actually curious as to what his bankai is because I'm pretty sure that vine thing is only the shikai and because he doesn't call it by name it doesn't fully release to the vine bit. Correct me if I'm wrong though...

I have never been exposed to anime with anything resembling a plot. Just random crap with gratuitous large-breasted women, that Cowboy Bebop episode (which left me waiting for exposition that never came the whole time. In hindsight, I should have expected total nonsense, given the name of the show), and Pokemon, which bored me.

That said, I like some artistic styles on anime.

If only I could find one with a plot.

 Do note that the entire plot of Gurren Lagann is within 27 30-minute episodes. A plot that begins in an impoverished underground town to saving all sentient life with machines that break the lightspeed barrier just to throw a punch.
