Also yeah; Simon ends up a dirty hobo, but for a start, it's by choice, and for an end, he's shown to possess the Spiral Eyes, which means he's a nexus of Spiral Energy and thus immortal like Lordgenome. Simon decided to be a hobo because he wanted to avoid the Spiral Nemesis; he was just too awesome for the Universe to handle.

Not 'immortality' as in 'cannot die', 'immortality' as in 'doesn't die of old age'.

The only other character we know to have aquired the Spiral Eyes and not died instantly from blowing up a negative space wedgie is Lordgenome, who lorded over the world for thousands of years.



Also; Micro, the letting Nia go was a pretty major plot point. Simon could have sustained her body with Spiral Energy; in fact he did for a short while, but he chose to let her go because of the Spiral Nemesis.

iirc, they hint that he's sustaining her with spiral energy (spiral energy does whatever you want it to, so it's a reasonable assumption if they don't hint at it) and we already know that using too much spiral energy will result in the spiral nemesis.

2. I don't understand Nina at all. She went (at the Chinese wedding party) from expectedly homicidal to strangely calm, then started screaming at Milly.

Finished NieA_7.  Good god, it was a terrible show.  I suppose I have gained newfound respect for the slice of life genre in general, but that specific example was just bad.  Bad voice-acting, bad animation, bad storyline, uninteresting characters, and anvilicious statements about discrimination... it was just generally disappointing.

*sigh*

Hopefully the next thing I watch will be better.  I'm holding out hope for you, Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann!
